"Josh!"

She jumped a little, looking at him. This man was broken because of what he did, even if he smiled and joked with her. He was sad. She looked at him a few seconds more before she looked away.

"Don't say that..."

"As much as I want to, its my fucking fault!" he got mad, at the assassins, but mainly, himself "I... I dont know any more even..." he didnt relax altough it looked like it

The next thing he knew was that a pair of warm hands took his face by softly touching his cheeks. He got obligated to look up, right into two perfect grey eyes. There only was a silence before her lips touched his. She was trying to calm him down.

"I needed it... Thank you..." he closed his eyes and took a big breath "I... Armh... Just wanted to say, thanks for everything youve done, you're amazing" he smiled to her, a real smile, she broke the cold and hateful Ice

"But I really wonder if Kyle is safe, I hope he is..."

"Kyle is trying to help us out... I think he knows what he's doing"

Kevyn hugged him before she looked back at him. She was worried too. She took his hand after a moment.

"Would you like to help me?"

She dragged him to the cooker, taking his hand in hers. Poor Josh... after a moment, she softly sighed.

"I know you're scared. I am too, but if I'm with you, I feel like being always... good. I'm worried for that little kid, you have no idea..."

"With all duo respect, he isnt young, neither an adult, but still, he knows what he is doing... I hope... What do you need me to do?" he tried to change the subject

"Mix the paste!"

She looked at him before she started preparing the cooker. To her eyes, Kyle looked like a child. Maybe was it because he was that slender. Maybe because he was a little bit smaller than her. Josh looked like a hero. A hero to her.

"Thats all?" He laughed and started mixing.

It has a great smell...."he sounded better then before

"Yes, you're right!" she nodded, smiling at him before she started oiling some pan, letting him do the paste. After a moment, she softly sighed. "Don't it feel weird to you? I mean, taking care of breakfast together, with that kid running there and there... I almost feel like I've never left the house"

And, with a small laugh:

"Like if... we were just dating"

"I think that's what he wants us to feel..." he frowned.


"I do, I used to eat outside only because I had many 'jobs'" he talked about the creed "so I didnt have the time to cook me something..." he loved the creed, it gave him porpuse

She nodded softly before she giggled. He really loved his Creed, even in the situation where he was. But she didn't wanted to remind him that. She turned to him.

"Eating fast food isn't healthy!"

Kevyn laughed and started tickling Josh, just waiting for her pan to heat.

"You should be ashamed!"

"im more ashamed in my job" he laughed and then stopped "I know, but I had to move from place to place" he said

"thats smells good!" he was happy, kind a atleast

Kevyn softly smiled at him and they started baking pancakes for the morning. She was trying to talk to him about normal issues, talking about all and nothing, just to make Josh think of something else. They sure had problems. But she wanted to make him relax.

"I wish you could've gone back to your old life" he meant it, he really did

"I... Lost my aptite..." he tought about Kyle and everything

She turned to him, surprised. Josh... he really was a caring person. She ended preparing the stuff and turned off the cooker.

"Josh... I think that if I had the choice to come back to my old life..."

She hesitated before she just smiled. No, she was sure of her answer.

"I would not. You and Kyle... are now part of my life like no one ever was. You guys both saved my life several times. You guys are the dearest friends I've ever had... I'll never give up on you two!" she said, determinate and smiley.

"Youre a gold" he smiled "I still lost my apitite... If you want to know anything else tell me, I'll try to answer"

"Try at least to eat a little... hunger comes with eating!"

She looked up a second before she looked back to him.

"What about your before the Creed life? Where did you live? Have you made your highschool?"

"I cant tell I had scaring for life childhood, I lived in a rich life, wanted to make a change, make things better, I did well in my early life" he laughed, he didnt lie though

She was looking and listening to him. She softly smiled.

"I did too. Normal days, normal life. Were your parents good for you? Mine were" Kevyn said, laying her head on her hand to look right into his eyes.

"Yeah, they did" he said "I had kind a perfect life if you would" he smiled

"are you sure you arent burning any thing there right?" he laughed

"No?" she said, looking up her shoulder, before she got up. "Yes!"

She turned off the cooker, stressed, before she laughed. She was turning silly!

"You wouldnt even smell poison if you cant smell burning pancake!" he laughed "not that I will ever posion you... How was your childhood? And teenhood?"

She looked at him while throwing her burned stuff.

"You really want to know? It's just... boring! Normal!"

"But you arent normal, nor boring" he smiled "tell me!"

She laughed a little before she turned to him.

"What do you want to know?"
