The Forseen (Closed)

Ronin smiled as he watched her rush after him. After a moment of walking, they'd made it to the market place. It was around a huge fountain with a dragon standing guarding what looked like a pearl. Water was coming from the dragon's jaws. There were shops of all kinds around the fountain.

Savannah smiled and began looking around at all of the shops. She smiled when she found a vender selling baby octopus cooked in teriyaki sauce and placed on the end of a stick. "Can I try this?" She asked Ronin as she looked back at him. She had never tried any kind of octopus but she loved teriyaki.

Ronin held up a finger to the vender and said "Ichi." before he shilled out the money for one. The vender took the cash and held up one stick for Savannah to take.

Savannah took a bite and smiled before nodding to the vendor. "It's so good." She said looking up at Ronin. "I love this place." She said before looking around at the other shops.

Ronin gave a small chuckle and patted her back for a moment before he took her to an ice cream shop. "You think that's good, you have to try our ice cream. It's more....oh, I don't even know how to describe it. It has more flavoring than what we have in the Americas. Just don't try the wasabi flavor. It's the definition of hot ice cream."

I love icecream!" She said as she tossed the stick she had eaten the octiopus off of in the trash. "Can I try some?" She wanted to try everything.

Ronin had chuckled and ushered her into the restaurant. It appeared as though it was nothing but ice cream. Ronin ordered himself a strawberry surprise and soon he looked to Savannah. "What would you like? You can build your own sundae."

Savannah smiled and ordered the same thing as Ronin. She loved strawberry anyway and it sounded good. Once she got it she thanked the man working there and took a bite. "This is so good." She said smiling as she took another bite. As she ate Savannah took the time to look around at the scenery. "I really like it here." She said smiling.

Ronin gave a small smile and shook his head for a moment before he himself began to eat his ice cream. "We'll be here for a short time. Then we'll be heading back."

Savannah smiled and enjoyed visiting the little shops. "Before we go back didn't Ava want you to pick her up something?" She asked looking up at ronin. She had seen him answer the text he had gotten and had accidentally read some of the messages. She really hadn't meant to.

"Ah! Yes!" He'd almost completely forgotten. "She wants some Nigiri Sushi. Which we will find right here." Ronin stopped before the doors to a sushi place and entered, calling a greeting to the counter man, who shouted back in turn, smiling. Did Ronin know everyone here?

Savannah looked around at all of the different types of sushi curiously. They were even selling cuts of fish so that it could be made at home. She didn't want to ask so she didn't but she hoped to try some before they left.

Ronin stepped up to the counter, ordering what sushi that Ava wanted before he ordered his own and then proceeded to look over at Savannah. "Is there anything you would like to try?"

"Is there anything you would recommend?" She asked smiling. "It all looks good but im not sure what I should get."

"It's all really good. But then again, Japanese sushi usually is very good. My personal favorite is that." He pointed up to what looked like squid, fish and vegetables wrapped up like a koi fish.

Would it be ok if I got some of those then?" She asked smiling. "It looks so good. I would love to try it!" She said happily. Savannah loved to try new things and she really wanted to try the one he had pointed out.

Ronin smiled and held up the number two on his hand while he said it in Japanese. The man gave a figure for Ronin once everything was ordered. He reached into his wallet and pulled out a wad of Japanese cash, which was useless in America. Ronin counted out the money he needed and passed it over the counter, which was soon followed by change and a single phrase: "Sore wa sugu ni soto ni derudarou."(It'll be out in just a moment) Ronin thanked the man before he took a seat to wait.

Savannah smiled and took a seat next to him. She had enjoyed her day out looking at all the little shops. "So... are you excited about becoming a father?" Savannah asked wanting to start up a conversation.

"I'm anxious and nervous, but yes." Ronin said with a small laugh.

Savannah smiled and nodded. She was about to say something else when the man who had been preparing their food brought it out to ronin and smiled. He said something to Ronin before going back to his kitchen.

Ronin thanked the man and collected the bags before he rose to his feet and nodded to Savannah. "Time to return to the Monastery." He said with a smile.

Nodding she took a bag to help him. "I had so much fun! I really hope I can come back before we leave." She said as she walked back through the crowded market area. She stumbled when she bumped into women wearing dark clothes. She was young a year or so older than Savannah. Savannah dropped one of the bags holding Ava's sushi and tried to catch it but wasn't fast enough. The women who had bumped into her was able to catch it though just before it hit the ground. "Here you go." She said in perfect english giving Savannah a small smile before going back on her way.

Ronin watched the exchange before he thanked the woman and ushered Savannah on without saying a single word other than his deep thank you. They absolutely had to get Ava her sushi.

Savannah hurried along out of Kioto and back to the temple. "That woman had a strange feel about her..." Savannah said once they dropped in the crack in the rocks.

Ronin nodded his agreement at Savannah's words. "She did, didn't she?" Ronin glanced back behind them after the woman. Strange indeed.
