Rise of the Shark((Void)

Whilst watching her men, Darcey had come up with an idea. She raced over to Bryan's ship, and burst into his quarters.
"A wild attack! Go against everything they know about Templars!"

Bryan started when she burst into his cabin. The chair tilted backward on him for a moment before it toppled over and he was grabbing at thin air for a second before he landed on the ground. He looked up at her after propping himself up on his elbows and shaking his head. "What?" He questioned. He needed her to elaborate.

"The Assassins know that Templars have a certain fighting style. They expect us to be organised, to fight a certain way, to have a certain style. We do the exact opposite of what they are expecting. Change our weapons, attack in a haphazard fashion, basically forget everything we were ever taught" Darcey explained rather excitedly. She was hoping that her plan would work.

Bryan was about to state out something that would immediately sink the plan into the water. Instead, an idea of his own popped into his mind and his face lit up. "Create a scene!" he declared happily from where he was sitting on the floor. "They won't be expecting us to cause a scene and then use that to attack. They might just be expecting us to try and get them alone." He clapped his hands happily from where he sat. It was a good plan.

"They'll never see it coming. As an added bonus, by making it a public scene, we'll be drawing them out of their comfort zone. Assassins hate working in the open." Darcey stood there smiling happily to herself. There was only a few ways things could go wrong, but the odds were growing to be in their favour.

"And on top of that, winter is coming." Bryan gave a happy little clap. He seemed to absolutely beam. "This might actually work." Though deep down, his heart and stomach wrenched. He had a feeling things would go wrong.

Darcey stroked her chin in thought. What did Bryan mean when he spoke about winter.
"Wait. Don't tell me they're actually like snakes."

Bryan couldn't help but laugh where he was. "Last time I checked, they were still human." he chuckled. "What I meant when I compared them to snakes was that they probably hate winter and how cold it is. They probably prefer the warmth of summer to the cold of winter, like snakes."

"That's what I meant. Do they get lethargic because of the cold? Do they go into hiding? Obviously they aren't snakes" Darcey said with a laugh.

Bryan chuckled and ran a hand through his hair. "Well, we will see." he said deviously, grinning in her direction. He obviously didn't know. All he did know was what he heard people say. And all people had said was that the Twins hated winter.

"Well, I guess we'll just have to wait and see" Darcey said with a sigh. Waiting was something that she wasn't particularly fond of.

"It'll be okay." Bryan said with a grin. "Waiting's not so bad."

"I know, it's just an inconvenience, and hellishly annoying" Darcey said with a laugh before she left Bryan's quarters, and disappeared.

Bryan frowned. Why was Darcey not fond of waiting?

Meanwhile...

Cooper and Carter were out back in the grassy yard of their hideout facing one another. They were training or preparing for what lie ahead of them. They would get that journal and possibly rid the Assassins of two Templars at once.

Darcey kept herself busy by training, and overseeing the work done on her ship. She knew that the Assassins were out there, that they probably knew of the presence of her and Bryan, and that they were most likely training too. Her best bet was to keep her training hidden, and carry on like any normal pirate.

Bryan, too, kept himself busy with normal pirate operations. Over the course of however long that they would have to wait for winter, Bryan would focus on their stocks and trade whatever they needed to for food and repairs. It was going to be a long wait.

Darcey stood on the deck of the Phantom Wake, watching her men unload their haul. Crates were carried down to the docks, and barrels of rum were being rolled to the Old Avery. Everything seemed normal, just another pirate trading their goods. During the wait until winter, Darcey had decided to try build a name for herself on the seas. All her looting had earned her a small fortune.

Over the next few months, the winds got colder and even the salty sea was cold. Bryan, however, was training to keep his body warm and prepared. Currently, he was on the deck of his ship and looked like a pirate just keeping his sword arm sharp for raids.

During the few months of waiting, Darcey had been at sea, taking on any ship that she came across. She had made a few adjustments to her outfit during her travels. She had stolen a fine black leather coat from a pirate hunter, some new boots from the British, and some armor from an Assassin. Darcey docked her ship, and stepped onto the docks. She smiled happily upon seeing Bryan, and made her way towards him.
"Did you miss me" Darcey asked with a chuckle.

Bryan smiled when he heard her voice. "Always." He said seconds before he plunged one of his swords into the mast of the ship and pulled it out just as quickly. He ran a thumb across the new scar and grimaced. "Sorry, ol' girl." He muttered to the ship.

"So, Bryan, it's winter now, so I assume we'll be going after them soon." Darcey sat on the railing, looked at Bryan, and smiled warmly. She had missed him so much during her travels.

"We will." Bryan said with a nod, feeling the cold wind on his face from the sea. "Soon. I don't want to do anything rash this early in case they catch wind of our plan."

"Well since we don't have to go after them right now, why don't we go out tonight and have some fun? You know, like normal people?" Darcey just wanted to feel normal for once. Maybe she could even forget about the Assassin-Templar war for once.
