Legacy of a Ninja(closed)

Angel muttered about having to take care of the stupid animals when it was Ava's job and not hers. Ava sat down on a bale of hay while she babysat her cousin. If she left she knew Angel would just sit there all day. Ava knew this was going to be stressful.

Ronin growled, having heard what Angel had said about the animals. It wasn't just Ava's job, it was everyone's job! It made Ronin's blood boil. Maybe he should waltz over to her and put her in her place right now.

Ava was outside filling the large feeders with fresh hay as the horses gathered to eat their breakfast. Suddenly a small whinny was heard behind ronin as the young filly nosed him. The mother was close behind watching over her little one carefully. Mack stood close by as well looking around the pasture every once in awhile to look over his other girls. The little one was playful and wanted to play with Ronin before she noticed Angel. Trotting over to the new person with her tail and head held high she nosed the women who looked at the animal in disgust. When the little horse nosed her again she kicked the baby who came running back towards her mother before an Angry Mack came charging her. The large stallion whinnied angrily as he reared up kicking Angel and knocking her down. Hearing the commotion Ava turned and ran back towards the stables.

Ronin was between the two, his hands firmly against Mack's nose while his eyes were staring daggers at Angel. After a moment, he soothed the angry stallion before he rounded on the woman. "How dare you!" He snarled, his voice deep and his ice eyes narrowed into slits. Right then, with his mask and hood drawn to hide his face, he looked like a demon out of hell. "You have no right to treat an animal like that! Especially one as young as that filly!" His hands clenched into fists and his hidden blade slid free.

"I've had enough of you acting like you're better than everyone else! I'm not standing by this time! You're a prissy, arrogant snob who has no talent whatsoever nor who feels any God damned emotions!" For a moment, it looked like Ronin had gotten angrier and right then, to anyone who saw his anger, it looked to them as though he'd shifted into something demonic. Something evil. Something worse than a wolf or an actual demon. For a moment, it looked like a Japanese dragon of legends was swirling around his entire body, its eyes matching his own ferocity at that instant.

Angel stood for a moment and gave Ronin a smile. "I can do what I want. I don't care about these people or these animals. They are here because I can use them as a free place to sleep." She said as Ava walked in Angel's eyes changed suddenly to frightened women. "Ava help! Your boyfriend is out of control!" She said beginning to sob. Ava rolled her eyes before looking at the filly cowering beside her mother with Mack standing in front of them. "Animals don't lie... What. Did. You. Do?" She asked her voice becoming hard and cold.

Ronin had drawn a hand back to slap Angel. He was hating her more and more and he was soon shouting in Japanese as he marched right back over to Mack and rubbed the stallion's face, his hands trembling. Oh, what he wouldn't give to smack that woman right now. Then without warning he knelt in front of the filly and offered his hand before he shouted at the top of his lungs "She kicked the filly! When all this one wanted to do was play!"

And that sent him over the edge. He marched over to Angel and gave her a hard shove. "That's it! Ava, let me drive her into the ground! She deserves to be punched! No, she deserves worse!" And there he was, shouting once again in Japanese to express how pissed off he was.

When Ronin told her that Angel had kicked one of her precious animals Ava charged. She punched her cousin hard pinning her arms down with her legs before she started punching her cousin in the face. Her cousin had had training as an assassin and was able to get away. Mack tried to get past Ronin to Help Ava as Angel shoved her onto a nail that was partially protruding from the wall. Ava let out a scream before she pulled herself off the nail and the fight burst out the stable doors and into the mud outside. Both women punched and fought with each other on the ground as Mack whinnied again angrily.

It was Ronin who acted. He leapt onto the women and drew them both apart, shoving the injured Ava toward Sentinel and Luna while he gripped Angel's shoulders and drove her toward the house, still shouting. He was intending on getting Ava's father involved. "Let's see what your Uncle thinks of this! Let's see what he thinks of you hurting a smaller creature than yourself. Let's see if he will allow you to stay then! Let's see, Angel! Let's see how he thinks of you after he's been told that you just think of this place as a free place to stay! You'll be on your ass and on your own!"

Ava held her hand over the wound the nail had made. It had hit her shoulder and it was now bleeding. Muttering she began to follow muttering in her own language. Angel had no facial expression at all and she simply rolled her eyes. Ava and Angel had beaten the hell out of each other in their fight and Ava was feeling it as she followed up to the house where Ava's father sat on the porch.

Ronin looked to the man on the porch and pointed a finger at Angel, still fuming and furious. "This bitch kicked Mack's new filly when all she wanted to do was play." he snarled, rounding on Angel with a threat in his eyes. He'd kill her next time she did something like this. He proceeded to tell the man exactly what Angel had said and even brought around a recorder that he'd had on that entire time, just in case she decided to lie.

Ava's father stood and walked down. "Angel is this true?" He asked in a calm voice. He knew how important the horse was very important to Ava. Angel just shrugged. He pulled his hand back and slapped her hard across the face knocking her to the ground. "Get off my property and don't you ever come back." He told Angel who just got up, got into her car and left... for now anyway. She would have her revenge for this.

Ronin calmed the second Angel was off the property and collapsed into a chair before he rose to his feet and went to Ava. "Let's get that looked at."

Taking a deep breath she nodded. "Yea..." She said in a sigh as she walked inside. She was still pissed off but was slowly calming down.

Ronin followed her inside and went immediately for a first aid kit. He doctored up the wound and wrapped it before he made her an herbal blend that would calm her down. He offered her the herbal smelling liquid and smiled over at her.

"Thanks." She said smiling as she drank it. "I'll kill her the next time she comes back..." Ava said as she continued to drink her tea.

"You and me both." Ronin said with a shake of his head. "I don't even know why your father's tolerated her this long and only just now realized how much of a bitch she is. I know family is family, but still."

She is the only child of my uncle." Ava answered. "And my uncle is gone. She was all he had left of his brother..." Ava went silent before standing up. "I need to go finish the stalls and check the little filly." She said as she walked out towards the stables.

Ronin closed his eyes and took a deep breath. He left the house and walked away from the estate. He needed to think and he did his best thinking in the wilderness. He told Ava's father to let her know where he was and that he would be back a bit later.

He walked up to a waterfall and sat on a rock resting in the middle of the water. He'd let his anger get the best of him and almost revealed his true dangerous power: the power of a dragon. Now, he had to discipline himself again, just like he had to do when he first went to the Masters monastery.

Ava worked on the stable and checked the little filly. She was ok. A little scared but her mother was doing a good job at comforting her. Once Ava had taken care of the horses she went back up to the house and to her bedroom where she decided to wait for Ronin.

Midnight came and went and Ronin was still not back yet. However, he was more serene practicing on the rock. After another hour went by, Ronin reentered the house and took a shower before he went back into Ava's room and plopped down on a chair. He was calmer.

Ava was piled up in her bed still sleeping peacefully. She had fallen asleep while waiting on Ronin. Once he came into her room she opened her eyes and sat up, pulling a knife out from under her pillow. She sighed and slipped the knife back where she had pulled it from once she saw it was only Ronin.

Ronin looked over at Ava and took a deep breath. "Sorry." He said softly. "I was out of line." In reality, he was apologizing for almost showing his true power.

Don't worry about it." She said as she rolled over to face him. "Come lay down. It's late and I'm taking you to my favorite restaurant. tomorrow." She said with a smile as she laid her head back on her pillow.

Ronin crawled into her bed with her and snuggled under the blankets before he closed his eyes and slipped into sleep.

Ava woke up the next morning early like usual before setting up. Looking down she groaned as she realised that at some point during the night she had ripped her little wound and there was now blood on her bed.
