The Bloodstained Wolf

Eden smiled as she fell asleep with him, still holding him close as they snuggled together on the bed.

Marisol smiled as she picked up a piece of fabric she liked. She was about to say she wanted to use it for embroidering before he began to ask her a question. Once he finally got the question out she blushed brightly but nodded. "I..I would like that very much..."

Once they reached the church, Fia opened the doors for Ferdiad before closing them behind them. While Ferdiad was busy getting the women into bed Fia went to the office, guessing that was where Eberhard was before giving a knock on the door.

Günther slept peacefully at Eden's side, though his dreams were plagued by the same voices he had heard during his brush with death. Strangely enough, the voices were oddly comforting, though the one of the Roman man and the ancient German woman seemed to be the most comforting.

Eberhard blushed and smiled softly before hugging Marisol tightly, careful to not hurt her ribs.
"I hope they'll be to your liking. They're... uh... very plain, so you're welcome to make any modifications you see fit. In fact... I would appreciate it if you added your personal touch." When he heard the knock at the door, he turned and raised a brow. "Come in."

Once inside, Ferdiad set each girl on a bed, and helped them get settled before heading off to make some tea and get them some water.

Marisol smiled and gave a nod. "I would be more than happy to do so. However, I'll need to see what I'm working with first." She said with a smile before hearing the knock.

Fiadh noticed Gunther and Eden sleeping and smiled before motioning for Ferdiad to be quiet so they didn't disturb them. While Ferdiad was taking care of the girls she stepped in once she heard Eberhard's invitation. "We brought tha girls here. Ferdiad is gettin' them settled." She said with a smile.

Günther was all curled up at Eden's side, twitching and mumbling in his sleep. Ferdiad looked at the scene, and he couldn't help but chuckle quietly. He helped the girls get settled quietly, both of them eagerly gulping down their water while Ferdiad quietly sipped at his tea.

"Ah, wunderbar(wonderful). It is a relief to know that they are alright" Eberhard said with a sigh of relief. He grabbed some blank documents, and started filling in some basic information about the girls. "The young girl... is she alright?"

Fia smiled and gave a nod. "Aye, I'm glad aswell... They awoke not long after I arrived an we managed tea convince them tea come here for recovery..." She said pausing to look back at the younger woman. "Tea be honest, I'm no' sure. She's a quiet one. Perhaps ye or Marisol can get her tea talk tea ye."

"She is a quiet girl. Never seen her talk much but the women say she was born there. Been paying the Abbess to keep the girl out of work" Eberhard said with a sigh as he looked to Fiadh and Marisol. Perhaps the young girl could be Marisol's first patient? He'd seen the young girl at the brothel a few times before, and he'd never seen her talk much. "Marisol, would you like the young girl to be your first patient?"

Marisol looked nervously up at him. "I...I'm not sure. I've only started learning today." She said before looking out at the girl. "I can try though... If you think I can." She said smiling though she still looked nervous about it. Fia smiled as she looked up at Eberhard. "Perhaps if she had supervision she might feel bit more comfortable wit' it?"

"Oh don't worry. I'll be with her every step of the way" Eberhard chuckled before turning his attention to Marisol, "The first step with a patient like her is to help them get comfortable and build a relationship with them. Maybe find something you have in common?"

Looking at both of them she took a deep breath and nodded. "Alright then..." She was still a little nervous but she decided to go for it. She walked out of the office and over to the girl with a smile. "Hello, how are you feeling?" She asked as she sat down in a chair beside the bed.

Fia smiled at Eberhard. "She'll d' fine." She told him as she walked out and over to Ferdiad. "How are they doin'? She asked with a smile.

"I'm sure she will. She has a passion for learning, and an insatiable thirst for knowledge. She always wanted to be a midwife" Eberhard said with a smile before following Marisol over to the two girls.
The young girl looked up at Marisol at her question, and tilted her head slightly. She sat there for a moment, just staring at Marisol before smiling and doing a thumbs up.

Ferdiad looked up at Fiadh from his cup of tea, and chuckled quietly before setting his cup aside.
"Tá an duine is sine buíoch gur féidir léi sos a ghlacadh óna cuid oibre ar deireadh. An té óg? Is cosúil go bhfuil sí ceart go leor, ach ní labhraíonn sí.(The older one is thankful she can finally take a break from her work. The young one? She seems fine, but she doesn't speak.)"

Marisol smiled at the young girl as she put her thumbs up. "Is there anything I can get you?" Marisol asked with a kind smile. "May I ask your name?" She asked as she looked up at the girl. She wondered if the girl was a mute but she was still going to try.

Fia smiled as he sat his tea aside before finding a seat in his lap. "Feicim... An gceapann tú go bhfuil an cailín balbh nó go simplí gan labhairt?(I see... Do you think the girl is a mute or simply dose not speak?)" She asked curiously as she reached down to steak a drink of his tea.

Ferdiad smiled and wrapped his arms around Fiadh as she sat in his lap. He watched the interaction between Marisol and the girl, trying to figure out what was wrong with her.
"Sílim nach labhraíonn sí(I think she doesn't speak)" he said quietly, not noticing her sneak a sip of his tea.

The girl looked to Marisol, then to Eberhard. She'd seen him at the brothel before, and knew him to be a kind but stressed man. She figured if Marisol was with him, she might be like him.
"M-M-Miele" the girl stuttered.

"What a lovely name." She said with a kind smile. "Is there anything you might want or need? If so I would be happy to get it for you if I can." She said smiling. She truly wanted to help the girl in anyway possible.

"Ah, sin an fáth nach bhfuil sí ag labhairt. Is dócha go mbeidh cailín bocht póg. (Ah, that's why she doesn't speak. Poor girl likely gets teased. )" She said as she smiled at him. She truly disliked people who made fun of people for things they could not control.

Miele smiled as Marisol complimented her name, but her smile faded when Marisol asked if there was anything she wanted. She had been taught to never want anything, to never ask for anything. Her grumbling stomach betrayed her, and revealed that the girl was hungry.
"S-sorry" she said quietly before she began quietly picking at the skin on her arms.
"Níl mé ró-chinnte. D'fhéadfadh sé a bheith rud éigin eile(I'm not too sure. It could be something else)" Ferdiad said quietly as he tilted his head towards Miele.

Marisol smiled at her. "You don't have anything to be sorry for... Let me see if I can't find anything for you to eat." She said smiling as she got up and looked to Eberhard. Fia spoke up however as she stood up. "I'm sure there's somethin' on me ship fer her. Turning to look at the other girl she asked. "Would ye like a plate aswell?" She asked with a smile.

"Th-th-thank y-y-y-y-you" Miele said nervously
The other girl looked up at Fiadh with a smile, and dipped her head in thanks.
"Just some bread please, if you have any to spare. Can't keep anything else down for the life of me" the woman said before handing Miele a bit of ribbon. Miele took the bit of ribbon, and immediately began fiddling with it, tying various knots with it.
Eberhard raised a brow upon hearing this, and made his way to the office to fetch some ginger for the girl, along with some papers for Marisol.

Fiadh arched her brow but shrugged before looking down at Ferdiad. "Would ye like tea come with me?" She asked with a smile as she waited to see if he would join her.

Marisol glanced at Eberhard before he went back to the office. She couldn't help but wonder what the ribbon was about. "I'm sure she'll be back soon, you don't need to apologize for being hungry. It's a natural thing... Everyone eats." She said with a kind smile.

"Aye, I'll come with ye" Ferdiad replied as he grabbed his hurley and started to follow Fiadh like a loyal pup. He figured he could probably also get something to eat while they were on the ship.

The older girl looked to Marisol, then to Miele, and chuckled quietly.
"Miele's been taught to stay as quiet as possible, to not make herself or her wants known. Ol' Eby over there and Lady Liz have been paying a handsome sum just to keep her out of work" the woman chuckled before shifting to make herself more comfortable. "Makes her less of a target for the customers."

Eberhard returned with some candied ginger which he gave to the woman.
"That'll help you feel less sick" he said to the woman before turning to Marisol. "Ella podría ser tu primer paciente(She could be your first patient)" Eberhard whispered to Marisol as he handed the papers and a pencil to her.
The papers had a list of questions on them that Marisol would need to ask the woman.
The questions went as follows:
When did you start feeling sick?
When was your last blood?
How do your breasts feel?
Have you been feeling any fatigue?
Have you been urinating more frequently?

Fia walked out of the church, pushing a rowboat out into the water a bit before hopping in. She waited for Ferdiad before she began to row back towards the Raven. "Wha' are yer thoughts on tha younger girl?" She asked curiously as they approached her ship.

Marisol frowned at this information before Eberhard returned. Taking the paper and pencil she smiled and gave a nod. "Me gustaría eso.(I would like that.)" She said with a smile. She assumed he would be caring for the other woman. Turning to Miele she began asking the questions on the paper before writing down her answers.

"Well... I don' think she has a stutter. More likely the lass is jus' scared. Noticed she picks a' her skin. Me' a wee lad in Dunmurry tha' was much like her, could only speak when he was pettin' a sheep" Ferdiad explained. He tried to help whenever he could, but mostly he sat there thinking about the girl and how they could help her.

Eberhard blushed and covered his eyes as Marisol began asking the girl the questions. He leaned down, and quietly whispered to Marisol, "Not Miele. The other one, the older one."

Aye...Fer now let' jus' get them some food." She said once they reached her ship. Climbing on board she waited for Ferdiad.


Marisol blushed and smiled. "Sorry..." She said feeling rather embarrassed by the small mixup. She was only just learning however and she knew mistakes were likely to happen.

"Aye. Poor girls are probably starvin'" Ferdiad said as he climbed aboard after Fiadh. He found himself thinking of that little boy he had met in Dunmurry, and wondered how the lad was doing. "Ah, didn' think I'd be seein' you so soon, Jim. An' who's yer wee frien'?" Kidd had been standing by the door to Fiadh's cabin, holding a bag with something angrily squirming around inside it.
"A gift from one of Lizzie's Templar friends. Seems he left it to her after his death" Kidd explained as he held up the bag and two letters. One letter had a Templar seal on it, the other Ah Tabai's seal. "Oh and a letter came in for Eden."

Miele couldn't help but quietly giggle at Marisol's mistake, and looked up at Marisol before giving her a thumbs up.
"It's alright, Marisol. Margaret is your first patient, and luckily she's a kind Fräulein."
"Oh Aye. He says that now, but he was singin' a different song when I told him we were cuttin' him off from the ale" the woman chuckled before eating the candied ginger Eberhard had given her. She tapped the space beside her on the bed as if inviting Marisol to sit beside her.

Smiling as she saw James her gaze lowered to the bag. "Wha' d' ye have there?" She asked with a smile before nodding. "I'll give tha letter tea Eden once I return tea shore... I'll assume ye wan me tea care fer whatever is wigglin' around in tha' sack yer holdin'?"

Marisol smiled and moved over to Margaret. "I'm so sorry about that." She said with a nervous smile. "It's wonderful to meet you. I'm glad your starting to feel better." She said smiling before she began to ask her the questions on the paper.

"It's a cat of some sort. I dunno, but I think Lizzie will. And I would appreciate it if you could take care of it until she comes back" Kidd said with a sigh as he handed the angry squirming bag and the letters to Fiadh. Whatever was in that bag had clearly attacked Kidd at some point, or had tried to run off which led to Kidd putting them in the bag in the first place.

"Oh it's quite alright, love. Now... started feelin' sick a few days ago. Last blood was..." The woman paused, and looked to Miele as if the girl would know. Miele thought for a moment before holding up five fingers. "Five weeks back. Breasts've been a bi' sore, bu' they seem a bi' bigger so I've been gettin' more customers" Margaret chuckled before finishing the last of the candied ginger. "I'm always tired, love. And for your last question, Aye, an' it bloody well hurts."
Eberhard looked to Marisol, and raised a brow. He had two diagnoses for the woman, but he wanted to know what Marisol thought.

Aye..." She said holding the bag. "Ferdiad? Would ye mind openin' tha door?" She asked as she held the bag out. "I'll take care o' this angry feline, don' worry. I'll keep Lizzy's letter safe as well. Nothin' tea worry about." She said smiling

Marisol nodded and wrote down her answers. She thought for a moment before smiling at her. "Thank you so much." She said with a kind smile but decided to ask Eberhard about her thoughts before saying anything to Margaret about it. Turning she smiled and asked Eberhard if she needed to take these to the office.
