The Bloodstained Wolf

Aye, we'll look after yer lass until ye return." She said smiling as she walked back inside with Gunther and Ferdiad. Eden sat at their table with Marisol who had her head down. "Easy, lass... Yer safe now." Fia said as she sat back down in her original seat.

"Ja, und Eberhard will be back soon. I believe he's just finishing up outside" Günther said with a smile as he sat beside Eden. Ferdiad was grinning like a cat who stole the milk, covered in blood. He sat beside Fiadh, quietly checking her for injuries before turning his attention to his drink. "Aye. Ye've a fine man there" Ferdiad said with a smile.

Fia smiled back at Ferdiad as he sat back down. "Has anyone ever told ye how handsome ye look covered in blood?" She asked with a playful smile. She allowed Ferdiad to check her for injuries even though she knew she was fine but she also knew it would give him peace of mind. Marisol looked up at the group. "I'm sorry... I didn't mean to attract trouble..." She said looking down. "You did nothing wrong... those men did and they got what they deserved..."

"Ye'd be the firs'" Ferdiad chuckled as he looked to Fiadh with a sly smile, and a twinkle in his eye. Günther looked to Marisol with concern, wondering how the poor woman would cope with all this.
"I agree with Eden. Unfortunately, some men are little more than mindless beasts Günther explained before looking to Eden with a small warm smile.
Eberhard finally returned, covered in blood and wiping his hands with a rag. He looked to Marisol, and smiled softly before making his way to her side.

Well maybe we should go back t' me ship once we're done here." She said smiling as she picked up her tankard. She was feeling a little frisky after that fight and she couldn't think of anyone better to help her with that. Eden smiled up at Gunther taking a drink of her own drink before Eberhard made his way back in. Marisol looked up and as Eberhard made his way over to her she stood up and wrapped her arms around him. "Are you alright?" She asked worriedly. Fia smiled before looking back over at Ferdiad. "Oh right... There's goin' tea be a weddin'."

Ferdiad smiled slyly at her words before pulling Fiadh over to sit on his lap and wrapping his arms around her waist. Günther looked to the two and chuckled quietly before looking over to his friend and his fiance.
"Oh aye? Well, I guess I'd bes' find me Sunday clothes" Ferdiad chuckled as he looked down at Fiadh on his lap.
"I'm fine. Those men? Not so much" Eberhard chuckled as he wrapped his arms around Marisol and hugged her tightly. He was just happy she was alright, that those men hadn't gotten to her.

Reaching down she picked up her tankard before leaning back against Ferdiad as she wrapped an arm around his shoulders. "Aye, I was hopin' tea ask if we might be able tea play at tha weddin'" She said smiling as she took a drink.

Marisol hugged him tighter, silently thanking god that he was safe. "I'm so glad your alright... I was so afraid..." She said looking up at him.

"Gladly. Been lookin' fer a reason tae play again" Ferdiad chuckled before turning his attention to his drink. He looked to Fiadh with a sly smile, and chuckled softly as he thought of their "adventures".

"There's no need to be afraid, Marisol. I was just worried about you" Eberhard said softly before kissing the top of her head. He had been worried about Marisol since the day he found her in the hold.
Günther looked around at the group, smiling softly at them all. His best friend was getting married, and his new friends certainly seemed to be enjoying themselves. He quietly finished his Ale before standing up and stretching.
"Suppose I should start getting the paperwork done. But first... I need a bath" Günther said with a tired sigh before excusing himself and heading up to the church to have a nice hot bath and wash the blood off of him.

Fiadh smiled taking another drink before relaxing against Ferdiad. She trusted him to the point of being able to drop her guard around him completely. She knew very well that he wouldn't allow anything to happen to her.

Marisol continued to hug him, eventually letting him go before smiling up at him. "I'm alright. Should we go to the church like we were planning or would you like to stay and have a drink?" She asked worriedly.

Eden smiled as Gunther got up. "I'll meet you there in a bit. I'm going to finish my drink." She told him with a smile.

Based on what Ferdiad had done to the men outside, it was safe to say Ferdiad would do anything to protect those around him, Fiadh in particular. He was definitely protective of those he held close.

"After what happened, I definitely think a quick drink is in order" Eberhard chuckled as he looked down at Marisol with a small smile. "Then we can get to the church."


Günther was up at the church for quite a while. He lay soaking in a herbal bath, quietly thinking as he smoked a strange looking pipe, occasionally taking a sip from a glass of wine. It seemed he was struggling with his emotions again, and this time there was nobody to talk him through it or keep an eye on him.
He thought of the men he'd lost, the men he couldn't protect. In a way, he felt like he was the reason they were all dead, and that he would be the reason why his friends would die. After all, if he hadn't left Germany, Marisol wouldn't have snuck onto his ship, they wouldn't have have earned the wrath of the Templars, and Eden would be safe.
All of the stress had finally caught up to him, along with his built up anger and grief. He set the pipe and glass aside before quietly slipping beneath the water where he had a meltdown.



"Shit... SHIT SHIT SHIT!"
Günther heard the vaguely familiar voice, but couldn't quite understand what it was saying. He felt the panicked hands grabbing at his body, the water pulling away from him, the feeling of the wooden floor beneath him, then... nothing.
He heard the voice again, but this time it was joined by others.
"Dir geht es gut, mein Sohn."
"Jo sille goed komme, myn lytse Stjer."
"Det er ikke din tid ennå."
"Andaðu bara. Þú ert sterkari en þú veist."
"Tu facis optimum."

I'm going to go ahead to the church.. I have an odd feeling I should go check on Gunther." Eden said as she stood up, finishing her drink quickly before heading towards the door before heading towards the church.

Marisol looked up at Eberhard with a concerned look. "Do you think Gunther is alright?" She asked. Gunther had also been good to her and she had come to think of him as a friend. Fia watched Eden leave the pub. "We should go to... Eden has good instincts an if she has a bad feelin' there is usually a reason."

"He should be, but given everything lately... possibly not." Eberhard watched Eden leave, and raised a brow. He was somewhat concerned about his friend, and knowing how he got... "Ja we should go" he said as he followed after Eden, although he did pause to wait for Marisol.
Ferdiad took this opportunity to finish all the leftover drinks on the table before looking to the others to see what he should do.

Fia downed her drink before hoping out of Ferdiad's lap as Marisol got up and hurried over to Eberhard. "Come, let's go check on our friend an then we can have some private drinks in me cabin," Fiadh said smiling as she waited for Ferdiad. Once he was with them she followed Eberhard towards the church.

"Och, fock i'. I'm coming" Ferdiad said as he grabbed his hurley and followed Fiadh and the others up to the church. He wasn't entirely sure what was going on, but he figured it'd be best for him to help. Eberhard held Marisol as close as he could, still a bit flustered by the earlier incident.

Eden was the first to make it to the church. "Gunther?" She called his name before going to the door of the back room. "Gunther, are you alright?" She asked sounding worried. Marisol kept pace with Eberhard and Fiadh and Ferdiad followed behind. She knew for a fact that Edens instincts had kept them out of real trouble in the past so she had no reason not to trust her friends instincts now.

Eden was the first to make it to the church. "Gunther?" She called his name before going to the door of the back room. "Gunther, are you alright?" She asked sounding worried. Marisol kept pace with Eberhard and Fiadh and Ferdiad followed behind. She knew for a fact that Edens instincts had kept them out of real trouble in the past so she had no reason not to trust her friends instincts now.

Eberhard followed Eden into the church and paused before looking back to Marisol. Ferdiad looked to Fiadh for a moment before he finally became genuinely concerned with what might be going on. No response seemed to come from the other side of the door, but given that his things were there, Günther should be in there somewhere.

Eden looked at Eberhard worried before Fia approached and opened the door to the back room. She didn't knock or seem to care for her friends privacy. Opening the door she stepped inside followed by Eden.

Eberhard stood quietly, catching a familiar scent in the air, and immediately bolted for the bathroom. He didn't bother to knock, but instead bolted for the bathroom and threw open the door. Seeing the glass and the strange pipe, he knew what was going on.
"Shit... SHIT SHIT SHIT!" Eberhard was panicking, and immediately reached into the tub trying to get a grip on Günther to pull him out.

Fia followed, helping Eberhard pull Gunther up out of the tub and onto the floor. "optimum..." She said as Eden ran in after them. "Gunther?!!!" She cried as she dropped down beside him. "Is he alive?!" She asked as she looked up at Eberhard.

Eberhard immediately got to work on Günther the second he was on the floor, doing his best to help his old friend before. Unfortunately Günther was laid bare for everyone in the bathroom to see. The wolf tattoo on his side, dozens of battle wounds, the gruesome scar on the side of his neck, and every muscle was exposed.
"Ja. Unfortunately it is one of his vices" Eberhard explained before he finally managed to get Günther to cough up the water in his lungs. He pushed him over onto his side, and brought his knees to his chest to help him recover. "He's alive."

Told ye Eden has good instincts..." Fiadh said as she stepped back. Eden stayed beside him, rubbing his back and on the verge of tears. She had almost lost the most important person in the world to her and it had terrified her. "Thank goodness..." She said fighting back sobs.

"Thank Christ she does" Eberhard said with a sigh as he sat on the floor beside Günther. He looked over to Eden, then back up to Fiadh. "Ferdiad!" Ferdiad stuck his head though the door, looking somewhat concerned.
"Ye... oh fuck. On it" he said before disappearing to get a blanket for Günther.
Meanwhile, Günther was trapped in his head with hundreds of voices arguing with him or trying to comfort him.

Gunther..." Eden said, speaking to him in a shaky voice. "Come back to us... to me..." She said as she placed her hands on the sides of his face. "Should we move him tea a bed?" Fia asked as Ferdiad came in with a blanket. "We can't jus' leave him on tha floor..."

Ferdiad draped the blanket over Günther, and looked to Fiadh with concern.
"Aye. I have tae agree with Fiadh. Man probably wants tae wake up in a bed" Ferdiad said with a sigh as he leaned down and scooped up Günther. Eberhard quickly fixed the blanket around Günther before the Irish giant carried him out to one of the church beds. Eberhard made his way over to Eden and hugged her softly before following Ferdiad to help Günther.

Fiadh followed Ferdiad and pulled the blankets back on the bed, covering him up once Ferdiad laid him on the bed. Eden hugged Eberhard back, still shaking from the fear of almost loosing Gunther. She followed them out and made her way over to Gunthers bedside where she took a seat. It was clear she was still terrified of loosing him.
