Training (The Ghost and his Shadow)(Closed)

David ducked under her sword, grabbed her wrist, slammed his palm against her elbow, stopping before he did any real damage "Your arm is now broken" he informed her as he pried the sword from her fingers, hopefully now lax as she had to act out like her arm was broken, and then pressed the tip into her back enough so she felt and and muttered "Dead"

Alyssa had indeed loosened her grip on her sword when he touched his Palm to her elbow. She swallowed when she felt the tip touch her back. She was now staring into his eyes. Those eyes that seemed to captivate her and hold her in an unbreakable trance.

David looked into her eyes, and for a moment wanted to drop the sword and kiss her again. Yet he had a duty to her and the Assassin's to train her, so he closed his eyes and turned away, placing her sword on a nearby crate. "Now it is your turn to learn how to defend yourself against attacks." he stated as he picked up his weapons and put them back on, unsheathing kveykva and turning to her. "When you are ready"

Alyssa nodded and fixed her stance. She took a deep breath and nodded at him, flexing her hands in preparation.

David came at her, arcing his sword as he slashed down at her in a crescent moon style. He would stop himself if he needed to.. he just hoped he didn't have to. Cause sometimes it was impossible to stop.

Alyssa did what he'd shown her. She grabbed his wrist and lunged forward, slamming her lips against his. She had a feeling it'd work, as she'd seen the look in his eyes from a moment earlier. Her hands wove to his sides, where they rested lightly.

David used the training he had been taught all those many years ago and shut down his emotion's, bring his knee up to connect with her stomach, pushing her back and pointing his sword at her "That may work against weak willed guards, yet it will not work against a trained Assassin or Templar." he stated

Alyssa shook her head and closed her eyes. She took a wheezing breath to try and regain the air that had been forced out of her. Once it was back, she breathed out in an exhale. Her muscles all ached and it seemed like she had lost her fire to train on this. With a shake of her head, She shifted her stance again. "Sorry, mentor," she wheezed.

David nodded "It is fine. Let us try again" He then got into his own ready position, before he slashed sideways at her. His eyes stayed on hers. He wished he could have dropped everything to have continued the kiss, yet he was a trained assassin who did not let his personal wishes get in the way of her training. After it was done however...

Alyssa grabbed his wrist and slammed her Palm to his elbow, though stopped before she did damage and then her hand wrapped around the hilt of his sword. She, too, wished and yearned for the feel of David holding her again, his lips on hers. However, she had to focus on their session to avoid another strike to her stomach like before.

David nodded "Good good. There is still much work to be done. We will continue this, but tomorrow we will be begging the more Assassin part of your training. Tailing... blending.. eavesdropping." He then took his sword out of her hands "Again"

Alyssa nodded slowly in understanding. Having him touch her hand with his, even if he was just getting his sword back, made her heart beat wildly. She wanted to feel his arms around her at that moment, to feel his hands skim her body as they had when he had been showing her a disarm technique. But she had a feeling that wouldn't happen and it caused her chest to squeeze in pain.

(Afterrrrrr she becomes an Assassin... so like in a couple more weeks thread time XD )

The next day, David stood on the deck of the Normandy, fully outfitted for battle. He had a plan to teach her Blending, tailing and eavesdropping. They were easy skills to learn, and he felt he could teach them to her within a day or two. She was a quick learner after all.

Alyssa stretched and joined David on the deck of his ship. She still couldn't believe he'd asked her to be his new Quartermaster. It was actually a surprise. "What are we going to do today, Mentor?"

David gave her a smile "We shall be tracking our target today." The best way to teach her was to have her track her actual target. "Some things you should know. Stay hidden... stay out of sight as you gather information. Any guard who finds you dies. Hide the body and continue. If the crowd gives you away.. run.. there are always other times to gather information."

Alyssa nodded and swallowed down her nerves, to no avail. Her heart was pounding and she felt like it was going to explode. Even her hands were shaking from how nervous she was. "Will you be showing me how to do this?" She asked nervously.

David shook his head "I can not show you then have you tail him yourself. It is simple though. Stay hidden, use the crowds to your advantage... as well as leaves, vegetation and roofs. I will be following you to rectify any mistakes."

(Where we're you for the rest of today?)

Alyssa nodded slowly and took a deep breath. Once she was calm, she looked to her mentor and love. [color:c433=!]"Who exactly am I looking for?" She asked because she hadn't exactly been told yet.

(School, then shopping XD)

David gave her a nod as he said "Edmund Cambridge. He is a Templar who is responsible for many Pirate arrests and killings. He needs to be stopped."

(Sounds like fun)

Alyssa nodded and took a deep breath. She decided it was no use prolonging the inevitable and so left the Normandy. She mingled among the crowds for a while, until she heard voices. Alyssa swept toward the source of the voices and stood among some civilians, her eyes focused on the pair of men who were talking. Deep inside, Alyssa was nervous and full of fear. No! She wouldn't think on it. She had to stay strong. She'd have to get used to killing people if she was going to become an Assassin. With a quiet deep breath, Alyssa focused on just the two men, allowing everything else to fade into the background.

David followed her from a distance. He was traveling on the roofs. This way he could see from farther away and could intervene. Whenever a guard called him out, his hidden blades would see blood. he watched not just her, but around her, for any hint of someone catching on to her and trying to attack her. Her weapon repertoire still lacked majorly, and if she was attacked he feared she could be killed.

Alyssa had gotten what she needed from the two and moved on, staying to the crowds for cover until she caught sight of the man who had just been described to her and from there, she slid back into the shadows, her eyes never leaving her target. She was nervous, but she swallowed it down and silently walked her prey.

David swallowed as he watched her stalk her prey. In truth he was not sure if she was ready or not to take him out. He guessed he should have mentioned he had some more to teach her before she took her first life, yet if she did it, he would stand by her.. it would just mean she would graduate to assassin that much sooner. He readied himself to fend of the guards as she made her escape.

Alyssa's muscles tensed hard as she drew closer to the man she had to kill. Her heart was beating so loud she thought everyone could hear her. She started to speed up until she was like a blur and then she swerved into the man, driving home the dagger she'd taken from its holster. He didn't even have a chance to yell out when the dagger sunk into flesh. Alyssa abandoned the dagger and started to make her escape, using the crowds to her advantage. She'd just taken a life...

David jumped down from the roof onto two guards who were pursuiting her. His hidden blades sinking into their necks, killing them. He then twisted to see himself surrounded by guards. Damn these Havana guards were fast. David raised an eyebrow from under his blue hood and muttered "Shall we play?" He then pulled out two pistols, killed two guards, pulled out two more and killed two more guards.

Next Kveykva was out of its sheath and deflecting a guards sword, next moment the guard was beheaded. Everything was happening too fast for a bystander to describe, yet before you knew it, the guards were dead. David then strolled over to the body of the Templar and pulled the necklace from his neck before he took off for a run back towards the Normandy
