Rise of the Shark((Void)

Bryan winced as the crew member finished dressing the wound and left the cabin. Bryan shifted and laid down with a sigh, glad to be laying down. "And how would we do that? What're you thinking?" He asked, curious.

Bryan grinned for a moment before he chuckled. "That's an interesting plan, Darcey." He said with a wink in her direction. "One that would probably work. But I think we should wait a couple of days until our wounds heal."

"We can heal on the way there. This is somethingthat, unfortunately, cannot wait" Darcey said with a sigh before she ruffled her hair. It was a long shot, but it was probably their best shot.

Bryan yawned and snuggled down into his bed. He wasn't going to argue. He was too tired and too drained from the fight to argue.

"Well, I'm off to send word to Captain Brandao" Darcey said before heading out. After sending word to the captain, Darcey made her way to her ship, took off her armour, and fell asleep.

Darcey was up early the next morning, getting ready to set sail. She looked to Bryan's ship, and smiled before she headed over. Darcey looked around for Bryan to see if he was already up.

Bryan was still asleep. Well, half asleep. He was sitting up sipping on some soup his men had brought him. One thing was for certain: his crew took good care of him.

Darcey knocked on the door to Bryan's quarters.
"Bryan, it's Darcey. May I come in?"

Bryan waved a hand then realized she couldn't see. "Come on in, Darcey." he called, sipping his soup and taking a bite of the piece of bread that came with it.

Darcey entered Bryan's cabin, a map folded neatly in her hand. She was already ready to set sail, all her gear was in place, and her hat resting proudly on her head.
"I just wanted to let you know that I'll be shipping off as soon as you do. I also brought you the map to the meeting spot, just in case we get separated."

"Thanks." Bryan said as he finished his lunch and set the bowl off to the side. "I wouldn't mind getting out of port as soon as possible."

"Well, I'll be heading out of port first. I'll need to lead the way, and I'll need to fly the right colours so captain Brandao and his men won't blow us out of the water." Darcey hugged Bryan, and slipped something into his pocket. "For when you find yourself missing me" Darcey whispered softly before kissing Bryan gently on the lips.

Bryan smiled as he watched her leave his cabin and slipped his hand into his pocket to feel what she'd given him.(What'd she give him?) Then he shouted to the crew to prepare to sail. They were leaving the ports of Nassau. At least for now.

Darcey had already set sail, and was out of the port within a few minutes. The men on her ship worked fast and efficiently. She led the men into a rousing shanty.

Bryan leapt up and out of his cabin onto the deck. There, he riled the men in a song of their own as he joined his first mate at the wheel. It was upbeat and Bryan actually led it. It was a rare treat for the men to hear their Captain sing with them. Usually it was just them.

Once the shanty was sung, when Darcey had finished all her work on deck, and they had lost sight of Nassau, Darcey headed back inside.

Every day at sea, Darcey would train when she wasn't working, and staring out over the water when she wasn't sleeping.
"I hope the twins are following us" Darcey said to herself.

Since they lost sight of Nassau, Bryan had been keeping an eye on their rear to see if they Assassins were following. There was no sign of an Assassin ship just yet but he had a feeling that they wouldn't miss this opportunity to take the fight to his home base: the ocean.

As soon as her ship reached the meeting spot, Darcey flew her colours so captain Brandao would know it was her. Now she just had to sit and wait. She watched the gulls for a while, and set about practicing again.

The men fell into an uneasy silence as they pulled alongside Darcey's ship. There, they waited, watching the ships of the armada. They didn't know what would happen nor if this friend of hers would accept him.

Darcey smiled happily when she saw the Man-O-War. With just that ship, Darcey felt like they could take on the world. Darcey and the captain shouted at each other across the water in what was definitely pleasant conversation.

Bryan breathed a sigh of relief for how the Man-O-War had greeted Darcey's ship. Now, all he needed to worry about was how they would greet his ship.

The captain of the Man-O-War pointed to Bryan's ship, and shouted over to Darcey. Darcey shouted back saying that Bryan was a friend, and he meant no harm. After that, there was silence across the water as everyone waited for the arrival of the Assassins. Darcey's men lounged around on the ship while the men of the Portuguese Navy worked on their ships, making sure that everything was in working order.

Bryan kept his eyes on the sea behind them. He had a feeling the Assassins would be hunting them right about now after letting their wounds heal. When they did, they had to be completely ready for them.
