A Ninja's Reveng(closed)

Fiona smiled and shook her head. "Thank you. Now what are we doing today?" She asked as she turned to grab her students robes. She was wearing her normal every day cloths and would continue to wear them under her robes. As she turned from him to get her robes she blushed as she thought about how he had defended her like he did.

"I managed to get some more information about the Templar," Ronin said with a small catch in his voice. "Apparently, he slept in an alleyway between two houses last night and has now made camp somewhere along the road. Cautious little fuck, I'll give him that."

"So whats our move then?" She asked with a smile. "Do we go pay our Templar friend a visit?"

"We find his camp first," Ronin said with a small nod. "Then we question him and then kill him. Loose ends and all that."

Fiona gave a quick nod before closing the door behind her. "Well then lets go." She said with smile as she headed down the stairs.

Ronin adjusted his hood and mask for a brief moment before he headed after her. Outside, he took a deep breath and exhaled in a sigh, heading toward the road. "We'll walk," he breathed quietly. "Don't want to spook 'em."

Aye." Fiona said as she followed behind him. She was quiet and kept her head down as they moved out of the town. She made sure to stay close to him as they moved towards there target.

Ronin tensed his muscles as they left the buildings behind and open ground surrounded them. He could smell campfire smoke from here and, with his sharpened eyesight, pinpointed where the smoke was coming from. He tapped Fiona gently with a finger and nodded in the direction he'd spotted.

Fiona nodded, she could see it to and a smile formed. She didn't want to do anything without Ronin's approval. She didn't say anything but waited for to take the lead.

Ronin crouched to the ground and began to move forward slowly. They wanted to take this man by surprise, gain as much information as they could before they killed him. He just hoped she would stay at his side until they could learn the location of the other Templars.

Ava stayed close to Ronin. She didn't want to mess this up and would do everything he told her.
Glancing at Ronin she waited for him to let her know what to do.

Ronin glanced over at Fiona for a moment before he jerked his hand toward the backside of the camp, obviously telling her to move around back and secure the Templar's escape route should he decide to flee. There would be no mistakes here.

Nodding Fiona moved silently around back of the camp. She quickly climbed a tree waiting for him to run. If he did she would surprise him from above,

Ronin calmly placed a hand over his face with a silent grunt. Whatever. Ronin signaled to Fiona to follow him to question the Templar and slipped into the camp. The man was sitting at the fire, enjoying the haunch of a deer, possibly a rabbit. "Looks like someone got left behind," Ronin said simply, deepening his voice so it wouldn't get recognized. The Templar jumped and dropped both bowl and rabbit haunch onto the ground in his rush to stand.

"Now, if you're here about the girl, I didn't touch her!"
"You're not my target," Ronin hissed, taking a menacing step closer to the templar. "Don't soil your britches!" The Templar seemed rather confused.
"If you're not here to kill me," he began slowly, bending down to raise up the haunch and waved it in the air for a moment. "Then why are you here?"

The Templar took a bite of the haunch as Ronin spoke. "You were travelling with others," he said. "A man with a scar across his face. Where is he?"
"Why would I betray my commanding officer?" Ronin stepped closer to the templar, blue eyes blazing with fire while his hand signaled for Fiona to get behind the man.
"Because if you don't, we'll run you through and leave you for the wolves!" Ronin's voice roared and seemed to deepen.

Upon his command, Fiona dropped from the tree and stood behind the Templar. Smiling as she looked  at him. "Better tell my friend here what he wants to know laddie." Fiona said with a chuckle. "Looks like he means what he said. Now how about some answers?" She asked politely. She had a much more calm determiner than Ronin did though she felt the same way about the Templar's as he did. "Make it easier on you're self."

The Templar's head swivelled 'round to gaze upon the female and then back around when Ronin grabbed his collar and proceeded to unsheath his hidden blade. "Now, now wait a minute," he began, his voice shaking as fear began to swell inside of his chest at the side of the sudden blade appearing beneath Ronin's wrist.
"Speak!" Ronin commanded, earning a jump from the Templar.

"He went on up to New York," scrambled the Templar, rabbit haunch abandoned on the bowl on the ground. "About five days ahead of you. You'll never catch him. He plans on taking a ship back to England." Ronin's eyes flashed and he raised the Templar so that his face was mere inches from that of the Assassin.
"Never presume to know the limits of an Assassin," he hissed and tensed his arm, ready to plunge the blade down.

"Now that I've sold out my commanding officer," stammered the Templar as Ronin let him drop back down onto the log he'd been sitting on. "You'll let me go?" Ronin remained silent as he stared at the man and a sudden grin spread across his face, his cheekbones rising from beneath his mask.
"Of course," he lied with a dip of his head, his open hand waving for Fiona to take a step back. He knew what he was doing. "Thank you for your help." As Ronin turned his back like he was going to walk away, the Templar breathed out a sigh of relief.

At that moment, Ronin spun, kicking up snow as he did and slammed his hidden blade into the man's neck, severing an artery. Blood bubbled up into the man's mouth, staining his teeth red before he gurgled something inaudible. Ronin jerked his blade free and proceeded to wipe it clean in the snow before letting it retract with a soft schklink. "Come, Fiona. We must head to New York swiftly. We cannot let that murderer escape." He added as he stalked away from the campsite.

Nodding Fiona followed him from the camp and back towards the town. She didn't say a thing until they got back at the tavern to fetch their horses. "Do you really think we can catch him?" She asked as she worked to re saddle her horse. She gave the stallion a pet on his neck before turning to look at Ronin.

Ronin only have to bother with the girth. He'd already grabbed what he'd left in the room and now worked on tightening the saddle and making sure everything was ready. "If we ride hard and don't stop," he answered, eyes lifting to the sky. "Fair weather. Good. We'll need it." Ronin swung up onto the stallion's back, earning a snort of excitement as the black stallion's feathered hooves pawed the ground beneath.

Fiona, climbed up onto her own horse. Leaning forward she gave her stallion a pat on the neck. He seemed just as excited as Ronin's horse was but of course the horse she rode was once her fathers horse. "Lead on." She said simply as she waited for him.

Ronin looked down at the black stallion's mane, shifting his grip on the reins and holding fast with his thighs. "Run, Sentinel," he whispered to the horse. Sentinel backed up slightly, his head bowed and ears flicking back to listen to his rider. "Run like you've never run before. Show us the true meaning of speed." After he'd spoken, the black stallion lunged forward, snow spraying up under his hooves.

Smiling Fiona followed after Ronin. Her horse catching up to his quickly as they rode towards New York. She said nothing as they raced down the muddy roads. Her horse racing alongside Ronin's stallion. She wanted to get the bastard just as badly as Ronin because if she wasn't mistaken he was the one who set her home a blaze that terrible night.

Ronin remained silent as his horse ran, snow throwing up from under his hooves, his mane whipping back from his neck with each stride and his tail streaming out behind him. Ronin's eyes were dead set on their road ahead. Justice was nearly upon him and would be delivered swiftly. But there was a nagging in the pit of his stomach. What if the Templar they'd questioned lied and the man he was hunting was not about to go back to England? What if it was a trap? He would just have to find out. Trap or no, he couldn't abandon a lead.

Fiona followed beside him, her eyes dead set on the road. "How far to New York from here?" She asked. Her eyes never left the road as she spoke. She concentrated on getting there as swiftly as she possibly could but she had worries. She wondered if this was a trap...

"A couple days," he said over the howling wind. "Maybe less, if the horses can keep up the pace." Ronin would never admit that he felt this was a trap. He wouldn't let her see how scared he was that it might be a trap, that they had a possibility of dying when they reached New York.

Fiona nodded and went silent again. She kept her mind on the task at hand. Get to New york find the target and kill him. She wanted revenge just as badly as Ronin and she would have it. Even if she had die to do so.
