PostSubject: Re: Rise of the Shark((Void)   Rise of the Shark((Void) - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 7:42 am

"I think it's perfect just where it is, Waverly." Darcey kept calling Bryan by his surname as a sign of respect, and as a way to try and keep things formal. She made her way to the couch, and sat down with a sigh. It had been an incredibly long, and eventful day. She was so tired. Darcey lay down on her side, and stared out of the window. The rain lulling her to a deep, peaceful sleep.

Bryan smiled over at Darcey when she fell asleep and rose from where he sat at his desk. He crossed the floor silently and returned to her side, unfolding a blanket before he draped it across her. He said goodnight in a quiet voice before he returned to his desk and the parchment that was there.

Darcey pulled the blanket over her head, and slept peacefully. She spoke of Assassins, pirates, and theives in her sleep. At one point she was cursing the person who stole her ship. Other than the half hour of talking in her sleep, Darcey slept peacefully.

Bryan grinned over at her again before he ceased his writing and neatly folded the parchment and set it aside for later. He rose to his feet and blew out the light on his desk before he climbed into his own bed and stared up at the ceiling for a while before he let sleep take root.

Darcey slept peacefully throughout the night, only to be woken by the morning light shining through the window. She growled angrily, and tried to hide from the sunlight by burying her face in the blanket. It didn't work out the way she wanted it to, so she finally got up.

PostSubject: Re: Rise of the Shark((Void)   Rise of the Shark((Void) - Page 4 EmptyTue Feb 02, 2016 6:54 pm

Smells of what felt like breakfast came from the small crack beneath the door that led out onto the deck. Bryan rolled over for a moment before he peeled open his eyes to stare at the door in mock anger. "Can't Malcolm keep it down?" He growled playfully, rising from his position to sit on the bed, the blanket draped across his lap and half falling off the bed when his legs dangled over the edge. "Never gets old, smelling his cooking. It's the best alarm I can get at the moment."

"At least you didn't wake up to that" Darcey growled as she pointed to the window, sunlight shining brightly through the glass. It was clear that Darcey wasn't a morning person.

Bryan couldn't help but laugh and grinned over at her, a smile playing at his lips. "My back's usually to it in the morning," he said with a playful tease in his deep eyes. "So it doesn't bother me as much." He stretched his arms above his head and flexed his shoulder for a moment before he rose from the bed, blankets falling away to reveal his bare chest and back, his pants the only thing covering him now. His muscles were well toned as before when he'd hunted the shark yesterday and they flexed as he stretched again. "Well, better go see what Malcolm's made for breakfast before the other men wake up. They usually sleep until noon or so."

Darcey tried her best not to stare at Waverly, but she just couldn't help it.
"I think you're right, Waverly" Darcey said with a chuckle as she finally managed to look away. She pulled on her coat, and headed off for breakfast.

Bryan followed, pulling the shirt he'd worn yesterday over his head and getting it adjusted by the time he emerged on deck. By the sight and sound of it, the storm had passed during the night. On land, trees were strewn about the beach and seaweed stretched for miles, still getting washed by the salty water. "Oh, God," he exclaimed when he saw the state of the shore. "I knew that storm was going to be harsh, but I didn't think it was going to be that damaging. Thank God that the Demon Shark made it out in one piece." He stated, pushing a hand through his long hair for a moment before he headed below deck.

He reached the galley and took a deep breath. "What's for breakfast, Malcolm?"
"Eggs, buttered bread and salted pork we picked up at the last port before Inagua, Captain." Said the burly man who had taught Darcey about flavors.

"Wow, that smells so delicious" Darcey said happily as she entered the galley. She grabbed a plate, and found somewhere to sit while she ate her breakfast. She savoured every mouthful. When she was finished, Darcey cleaned up her dishes, and headed off to clean herself.

Malcolm couldn't help but give a laugh as Bryan picked up his own plate. "Make sure the men get some,"
"Of course, Captain." With the reassurance that his men would get fed, Bryan made his way back up top and nibbled on his breakfast while his eyes watched the sky. Distant thunder rumbled and yet the storm was over.
It probably hit somewhere else, he thought.

Darcey arrived on the main deck, clean and fresh. She looked at the deck, and shook her head before she grabbed, and began to scrub the deck. It was the only thing that she could think to do without tearing her wounds open.

Bryan looked over at Darcey and grinned, shaking his head so that his hair flew around him for a moment before he continued to eat his breakfast. "We've got some supplies that we need from the island before we can set off," he said loud enough for her to hear. "I was wondering if you'd like to tag along." His men knew that he didn't often want company whenever he went hunting on land, so this was different.

"I'd love to come with you, Waverly. Besides, I think I need to make myself a pair of gloves" Darcey said as she looked down at her hands. She knew how to hunt, and what to expect of the plants.

Bryan gave a nod and finished off his breakfast before he took it down below. He emerged a few moments later and took a deep breath of the air. "We'll go when Crowley gets up. Can't leave the ship with everyone still asleep." He teased with a grin.

"I understand exactly what you mean. Don't worry, I can wait" Darcey said before she returned to scrubbing the deck. She positioned herself in such a way that her palms didn't come into contact with anything.

Bryan gave a soft chuckle and went straight back to his quarters to prepare himself for the hunt. Inside, he made sure that he had his twin swords and pistols. The pistols had to have ammo before he left, otherwise they wouldn't be of much use and finally he made sure that his swords were sharp before slamming them home into their scabbards that criss crossed his back. At that moment, anyone would think that he wasn't a Templar, but an Assassin, which made him laugh. No way would he join their cause for anything. Being a Templar was all he knew.

Darcey made sure that her pistols were loaded, and even checked the sharpness of her sword and various daggers. She couldn't wait for the hunt. Finally, some way to show Bryan that she was more than just a pretty face.

Crowley's yawn rose from below deck and the smell of food rose with him as he surfaced to the deck, poking the eggs with a fork before he shoveled some of it into his mouth. "Morning, Miss," he said to Darcey. "I take it you and the Captain already ate."

Bryan nodded back and exited out of his cabin before he glanced over at Crowley and laughed. "Wake up, Crowley. Or the men will be going nuts."
"I am awake, you big tub of shark-blubber!" Crowley spat back, tearing off a strip of the salted pork. His antics earned a laugh from the Captain, who then turned toward the ladder on the side of the ship.
"Come on, Darcey." He said with a laugh, dropping down from the side of the ship into the shallows of the sea that led up to the sand.

Darcey let out a laugh that sounded more like an excited squeal before she chased after Bryan. She examined some berries on a small bush, and smiled before she picked a few, and ate them. She picked a few more, and put them in her pocket. Darcey scaled a tree, and surveyed the surrounding area for animals. She spotted a group of iguanas, basking in the sunlight, and some ocelots darting about in the bushes. All she was looking for, was a deer.

While she was looking for herself a deer, Bryan really wasn't looking for anything specific. The ship would need extra wood for repairs before they set off again, but none of the others had come with him to get the wood they needed. With an irritated snort at that little miscalculation, Bryan instead went for the iguanas for their hide and meat to trade with.

Darcey finally found a deer, and smiled. She readied her pistol, took aim, and fired. The deer fell immediately. Darcey went off, and grabbed the deer by its ankles before dragging it off.
