Fun? He thought with a small frown. Slowly, he rose from his seat and followed after her. Out in the barn, he pulled his own horse forward and tacked it back up before he turned to Fiona. "What sort of...fun?" he questioned, though his voice held a sort of confused tone.

"I'll show you." She said with a smile before giving a small flick of the reins causing the horse to move forward. They moved through town and rode a little bit out of town where they stopped at an orphanage where children were playing in the yard. Fiona hopped out of the wagon and whistled. She grinned as the children ran over pulling at her sleeves and asking what she had brought for them.

The care taker came out smiling as she hugged Fiona. "Thank you once again. " Fiona smiled before looking at the children. "Who wants to help carry these things in?" She asked as the children began climbing into the wagon helping hand down the items in the back to waiting arms below.

Ronin stayed seated on the black horse he rode, his hands folded again together while he leaned against the horse's head, watching the children below. They looked like the child he'd saved from being hung and wondered if he belonged here at the orphanage. Probably not though, he thought. He didn't move, nor say anything. He just watched the children with soft, ice blue eyes.

Fiona smiled as the children helped take in the food she had brought them. While they were doing that Fiona walked around as if she was going to grab a bag for one of the children. Instead she tossed a snowball at Ronin and smiled. This of course got the children excited and a snowball came flying through the air and right into her face. She shook the snow off and began playing with the children before looking at him. "Come have a little fun." She said before falling back in the snow as the children tried to bury all but her head in the snow.

Ronin flicked the snow off his shoulder and readjusted his clothes for a moment before he turned his head to look at Fiona, a smile behind his mask. There was a time when he would have had fun. But that was a long time ago, so now he was somewhat content to watch the children until one caught his interest. Slowly, the scary man dropped from his horse and crossed the ground toward the young boy. Ronin crouched down into the snow and studied the boy's face for a moment before he made his smile more pronoun, his cheeks turning upward. "Let's go have some fun," he rumbled quietly to the boy, jerking his head toward the others as they tossed snowballs around.

Fiona was allowing them to hit her with the snow but she was getting them back as she laughed and played with the children. Suddenly she picked one up and tossed it hitting Ronin in the chest with it. Had it been a blade it would have priced his heart. She grinned. "Lets get Romin!" She laughed as all the children turned there attention on him and began throwing the snow at him laughing as they did so.

Ronin began to laugh. It was a slow, eerie sound and rose into a roar. He rose his arms up in guard against the cold as it flew at him. "You are all going to get it now," he roared in as much of a playful tone as he could muster before gathering up a couple of snowballs and tossing them into the crowd. One was even aimed toward Fiona and struck her in the face. Had it been one of his deadly little shurikens, it would have gotten her between the eyes.

She laughed and feel back pretending to be dead. The kids gathered around and when one got close enough she opened her eyes and they all jumped back. The small boy who Ronin had walked up to tugged his sleeve. "Will you help me make a snow man?" He asked with a smile. Fiona smiled at the idea and so did the children and they all started working on snow men. She smiled as she walked up to Ronin. "So I see you do have the ability to smile."

Ronin looked over to her, his cheekbones raised as he rested a gentle hand on the boy's head, his fingers running through the messy blond hair. He still said nothing and dipped his head to the young woman he'd just met. "I put in an effort for children," he said, ruffling the boy's hair for a moment. "They have the most pure and innocent blood that has not merited wrong-doings." he was referring to the boy he'd saved from being hung earlier.

"You should put in more of en effort. Smiling suits you." She smiled at the boy. "Don't you think so?" She asked the boy who nodded and smiled at Ronin. "Now lets see how big we can make this snowman." She said before the boy ran off to help the other kids roll the snow up for the base.She gave him a soft smile before running over to help them.

Ronin chuckled after the lot before he turned his head up to the sky as a rather cold wind blew. The smile beneath his mask faded slowly, replacing with a worried frown. He stood there for a moment, his robes flapping slightly in the wind. Ronin shook himself off and began to approach the children while they made the snowman. He studied them for a moment with soft blue eyes before he gently touched Fiona's shoulder and bent toward her ear. "Where's your friend?" It was a question, though his tone as he said it seemed to hold a deeper meaning, almost as though he was concerned. Well, he had reason to be concerned. The man he'd been hunting was a well known Templar who was rather dangerous and probably removed any threats to him.

She glanced at the children before looking back at Ronin. "Lets head back ta the tavern an see if he's returned." She said as the children's care taker came out. "Come on in. It looks like a storm is comin and I can't have you all getting sick now." The children sighed and began dragging themselves back inside. The one who was playing with Ronin ran back over to him and gave him a hug before waving and running back inside.

Fiona waved back at them before heading back to the wagon. Once she got it turned around she waited for Ronin to join her.

Ronin watched the boy for a moment with sad eyes. With a small gesture of his hand toward the boy in farewell, Ronin swung back up into the saddle of the black horse he rode, turning it back around the other way. Ronin turned to Fiona and gave a nod for her to lead the way.

With a flick of the reins she set the horse off in a dead run back towards town. She didn't say anything the whole way back as they moved back towards town. She only slowed down to a walk when they reached town and then a stop once they got back to the tavern. Once her horse was taken care if and fed she walked back inside the tavern when she sighed in relief when she saw her drunk friend sitting in the back booth with a bottle of rum on the table.

Ronin had dropped off his own horse and had followed after Fiona. Now, he stood behind her, much like a dark and brooding shadow, his ice eyes trailing around the room before also landing on the drunken man in the corner of the room. Ronin gave a snort and shook his head slowly, tugging down his hood and fixing his mask for a moment. "Civilians," he snorted. It was as though he didn't understand why so many people preferred to dull their senses, but he didn't mean any harm by it.

She glanced over and rolled her eyes before she moved over to her friend. Jumping into the seat next to him. "So what did you learn?" She asked him with a smile before stealing a drink from his bottle of rum. He gave her an annoyed look but sighed. "The man your lookin for is no longer in town. He left to attend to business further up north." he said before snatching the bottle back from her. "He will be traveling for some time now."

Ronin listened with an annoyed look in his ice blue eyes. They narrowed slightly. "How long is a while?" He questioned firmly.

The man looked up and arched his brow. "A few months at least. But...." The man trailed off and pulled a paper out of his shirt. "I have his schedule here." He grinned. "Everywhere he will be travailing to." Fiona smiled an looked up at Ronin. "I knew he could pull it off. " She said her smile widening to a grin.

Ronin dipped his head to the drunkard and, as promised, paid him for his trouble. Though as he slid the smaller pouch across the table, he kept his hand on it and bent forward, his ice blue eyes narrowing hard as he stared at the man. "If you see any other men in uniforms," he said quietly, his voice hard and serious. "You never saw a masked man come through." He then released the pouch slowly and straightened up, nodding toward the pouch, though he said nothing.

Smiling he nodded before stuffing the bag of money into his pocket and went back to his drink. Fiona got up and smiled at him. "Well what would you like to do? We can leave first light tomorrow if you wish? I just need some time to get a few things in order." She said giving him a smile.

Ronin looked over at her with a flash of surprise passing through his ice eyes and he remained silent for a few minutes. "You wish to come with me?" He sounded just as surprised as he looked at that moment, despite the fact that it was only his eyes that were visible.

She grinned. "Don't look so surprised. Of course I'm coming with you. Now I live in this Tavern so we can stay here tonight stop by the market in the morning and be on our way." She said patting him on the shoulder before walking away.

The drunk chuckled. "Good luck with that one laddie... Shes going to be a handful."

"As long as she doesn't get in my way or slow me down," Ronin answered the drunkard in that quiet voice of his. "Then she may do whatever she wants." Ronin tugged on his wristbands for a moment before he made his way to the counter and asked for a room, tossing a few coins over the counter before he was told his room and headed to the room he'd been given.

Fiona helped the old women for a bit until everything died down. She had made herself and Ronin a steak with mashpotatos once she had a chance and took the plate up. She used her foot to knock on the door. "Ronin? Are ya still up?" She asked through the door as she stood there waiting.

The door slid open almost as though it had done so by itself. Though the motion of Ronin sitting back down into a chair said that he'd gotten up to open the door, though it did creak open by itself with the force that he'd used. He seemed to be doing something. Possibly reading or writing, but his arm seemed to remain stationary. "Why do you wish to come with me?" He questioned after a long while of silence. He was curious as to why a woman would want to accompany him of all people.
