The Bloodstained Wolf

Eberhard, Günther, and Kidd let out a collective sigh of relief at the news Fiadh gave them.
"Oh thank God" Eberhard said before returning to the sausage that had almost killed him.
Ferdiad had been listening to everything as he ate whatever looked good between multiple cups of coffee.
"That at least gives us some time to plan our next steps" Günther said with a sigh. He grabbed a delicious little pastry, dunked it in his coffee, and ate it. "Apparently all Torres would get out of that unholy union would be a suitable heir, likely some resources and perhaps some wealth."
"So the typical noble shite 'ey? He won' par' with her so easily unless we can offer the bastard somethin' more valuable" Ferdiad said as he poured himself his fourth coffee. Kidd, who had been quietly listening and eating some bacon, nodded in agreement.
"And knowing the old goat, it won't be easy. It'd be easier to get a damned pardon from the King."

Eden visibly relaxed as well, grateful that Marisol had managed to escape without being seen. Fia nodded, agree with with Kidd before speaking up again. "If we can think o' a way t' give him something more valuable however we can save Marisol from them with no bloodshed..." She said grabbing a coffee. Looking up at Ferdiad she smiled. "Surly no' all nobles are bad." She teased as she gave him a playful hip bump. She came from a noble family, though her family was slightly different from other noble families.

"No' all, bu' mos' of 'em. Oul man Lugh explained the politics of i' all tae me" Ferdiad explained before turning his attention to the sausages.
Günther leaned back in his chair, quietly thinking of their current situation and any ways out of it. As he thought, he twirled the golden cube around in his hands.
"We may not have anything to offer Torres, but we can make it" Günther said with a sly smile. "What is the one thing a Templar would want more than wealth and resources? "

Fia smiled at Ferdiad before answering Gunther. "The extinction o' the Assassins an... any piece's o' Eden they can get their hands on." She said smiling. "Wha' have ye go in mind?" She asked with a sly smile. She could see he had a plan and was eager to hear it.

Günther smiled slyly as he held up his golden cube, an elaborate plan forming in his mind.
"I'm sure he would find this sword of Eden and an "heir" to be fair compensation for Marisol, don't you think" Günther said with a sinister chuckle. Kidd smirked as he heard this, somewhat understanding Günther's plan.
"And where are ye gonna get an Heir for that Bastard?"
"A few of the girls at the brothel are expecting. Might as well pay them for their troubles."

A fabulous plan." She said with a smile. "We jus' need t' keep Marisol safe until one o' them give birth which shouldn't be much o' an issue as long as she's no' recognized." She said with a smile. "I have cloths fer her which should help."

"Marisol would greatly appreciate some new clothes, she was actually asking about some this morning" Eberhard said with a small smile as thought about Marisol.
"We'll keep her safe for sure. However, I need to know if you have a forge on the island so I can start working on the sword."

Fia smiled at Eberhard with a nod before turning her attention to Gunther. "There is but it isn't in tha best condition..." She told him wishing she could take him to the one on Tulum however they wouldn't be able to do that until they had Ah Tabai's permission.

"Eberhard and I can probably fix it up and get it working again."
"I can help with tha'. Oul man Lugh had me workin' the forge up a' his esta', taught me how his family's worked steel for six hundred years" Ferdiad said with a smile as he stepped forward. After the death of Elizabeth's father, Lugh had been searching for someone to train as the next Shay Smith, and apparently Ferdiad was perfect for that.
"Then it's decided" Günther chuckled before looking to Eden with a small warm smile and gestured for Eden to join him. "Marisol stays with us, and Torres gets a fake heir and sword of eden."

Maybe tha shock o' bein tricked like this will finally kill the old man." Fia said with a smile. "Once Elizabeth returns I'm sure she will join us as well." Fia said still smiling.

Eden smiled and moved over to Gunther still sipping her coffee. She was happy they had come to a solution to their current problem.

"Hopefully. Man's like a damned cockroach, he just refuses to die" Kidd chuckled before helping himself to some of the delicious pastries. Günther looked up at Eden with a small warm smile and gently wrapped an arm around her waist before carefully pulling her to sit on his lap.
"I'd actually like her help with the sword. Her knowledge in poisons might prove valuable to our project."

Aye, we jus' need tea, wait until she returns t' Nassau." Fia said with a smile. "Where did she go anyhow?" She asked looking to Eden.

Eden smiled, blushing a little as he pulled her into his lap before looking up as Fia asked her a question. "She said she had some business to take care of but would return to Nassau once she's finished." She said smiling, not wanting to give anymore information in front of James. "I'm sure she will return soon."

Günther wrapped his arms around Eden, and smiled softly as he rested his chin on her shoulder.
"That gives us some time to fix the forge and get it up and running again." Eberhard looked to Eden and Günther, and smiled softly at the two. "I... uh... need to get some hidden blades made too" Eberhard said with a small nervous smile.
"Wait... you're an Assassin" Kidd asked with a mouth full of pastry.
"Last of the German Brotherhood."

Eden smiled at Eberhard as she relaxed in Gunther's arms. She was glad that he had finally told everyone.

"Aye, I can help with tha lad but I would need t' go t the assassins t' have it made." She said with a smile. "We'll get ye a pare though." She said with a smile. "Gunther, if ye could take us back t' me ship I'll be glad t' give ye those beds ye were wantin', along with anythin' else ye might want off me ship."

"Thank you, Fiadh, I would truly appreciate it" Eberhard said with a warm smile, and a respectful dip of his head.
"Gladly, and thank you so much for this, Fiadh" Günther said with a smile as he looked up at her from Eden's shoulder. "For now, please... help yourself to all the food and coffee you want."

It's alrigh, I don' mind helpin those who need it." She said as she went to grab some eggs and sausage. Eden smiled as she spoke up asking if Fia could grab her one of the pastries which Fia got for her. "So Eberhard... wha' are yer thoughts on this Marriage Idea? It dose involve ye so wha' is yer option." She said curious.

Eberhard blushed violently at Fiadh's question, although thankfully he didn't choke as he was too scared to put anything near his mouth.
"At the very least, it will keep her safe and away from her grandfather" Eberhard said before he took a sip of his coffee. "It's a good move. Marisol might not like it though."

Ye never know unless ye ask. I think she likes ye." She said with a smile. "Ye should talk t' her once ye get back t' shore, she should also know tha plan." Fia said smiling as she took a sip of Coffee. "An if she doesn't then ye can be married fer looks. Either way she's safe."

"True, but I hate that she just escaped one arranged marriage, and is heading for another" Eberhard said with a sigh before finishing his coffee. "Poor girl hasn't had any control over her own life. Not allowed to make a single choice in her life..."
Günther watched the two, quietly listening to their conversation as he held Eden close to him. Kidd, having stuffed his face with free food, and now sensing Eberhard's tension, rose to his feet.
"I'll let Ah Tabai know about the plan. You lot... look after yourselves" Kidd said with a worried smile before heading off.

If ye would like I can be there when ye talk t' her about it?" She asked before giving James a nod. "I'll be up t' tha house later t' see if I've gotten any letters." She said with a smile before taking another sip of her coffee.

If she doesn't want to marry then perhaps we can come up with another plan but I doubt it will be as easier than the one we have." Eden said chiming in as she rested her head on Gunthers shoulder.

"I think she will agree... Besides, Eberhard is a much better choice than tha man she was suppose t' marry." Fiadh added with a smile.

"I think that would be best. Any other way and I might well lose her trust altogether" Eberhard said with a sigh. He'd lost his appetite, though he did put a plate together for Marisol.
Günther looked to his friend with a heavy heart, and let out a sigh. He had known Eberhard since they were kids, and he knew what Eberhard was going through right now.
"You may leave if you wish, Eberhard."
"Dankeschön, Herr Steinhauer(Thank you very much)" Eberhard said with a small bow before heading off with the plate he had prepared for Marisol.

Wait t' till her until I can get t' tha church." Fiadh said before Eberhard left. "I'll be there once I'm done helpin' with the new beds." She said smiling as he left.

I hope she takes it well..." Eden added as Eberhard left. She wished they could have come up with a better plan but this seemed to be the safest option.

"I hope so too, otherwise we'll have a new problem to handle" Günther said as he rested his head against Eden for a moment. He didn't know what to do for his friend, hell it was a miracle they came up with this plan. "I think we should get those beds sorted."

Aye, I think that might be best." She said smiling. "If ye need anythin' else ye might see in me hold yer free t' ask about it." She said smiling.

Eden smiled as well as she reluctantly got up from Gunthers lap so he could get up. She grabbed another pastry and more coffee before heading to the door.

"I will certainly ask, Fiadh. Eberhard did ask me about acquiring books and fabric I believe" Günther stood up somewhat begrudgingly as he had really enjoyed sitting there with Eden. He locked the golden cube in a chest, and followed Eden to the door.


Eberhard made his way up to the church, and stood outside for a moment trying to regain his composure. He really didn't like the idea of forcing Marisol into another arranged marriage, especially because she had just found her freedom. Eberhard took a shaky breath, and entered the church, smiling softly as he pushed the thoughts of the meeting to the back of his mind.
"Marisol? I hope you don't mind but I brought you some food" Eberhard said with a smile as he entered the church.
