Sorath Galanos, the Silver Feather Empty
PostSubject: Sorath Galanos, the Silver Feather   Sorath Galanos, the Silver Feather EmptyFri Sep 06, 2019 9:30 pm

Name:
Sorath Galanos

Age:
Looks around 25 years old

Affiliation: (Assassin, Templar, Free Agent, Pirate)
Assassin/Vigilante

Appearance: (Description, or picture, or both)
Sorath stands at a height of 6'7" and weighs in at 170 pounds, though most of it is raw muscle. His hair is semi-long, falling down to his shoulders. Its color is as black as the night sky with just a hint of blonde hidden in the front of his hair. Sorath's eyes are silver like the stars in the sky and glitter just as brightly, especially in the dark. He bares a scar running down the right side of his face, cutting down through one of his eyes and turning that pupil slightly white, giving him a more menacing appearance.

He's quite unusual, bearing a single set of wings that are just as silver as his eyes, shimmering like the stars and his wing tips look like a galaxy was trapped there in his feathers. They stay hidden mostly by performing a sort of disappearing act, causing a sort of hallucination effect to happen within the minds of anyone who comes into contact with him. This way, he can remain anonymous and safe. His robes, however, are a different story, often appearing as a sort of armor that's colored black with golden and silver runes not of this world adorning every inch, though they're more prominent around his waist and along his arms. His hidden blades are concealed perfectly in this type of armor, as they seem to be apart of the gauntlets that adorn his wrists.

When he's not on the prowl, he wears a plain white, long sleeved shirt that covers up a series of unrecognizable runes that run the entire length of both arms.
(see the Shadowhunter markings for reference)

The pants he wears are skinny denim jeans, which conform perfectly to his well built body. There is one other piece of his outfit which he wears and that is a mask that appears to be dipped in blood. It makes his scar look much more evil along with his silver eyes, though he rarely wears it and when he does, it means he is extremely pissed off.

Personality:
Sorath comes across as extremely unapproachable, hiding every emotion from everyone. He rarely speaks, though when he does he sounds as though he doesn't belong in the time period at all and sounds like he's from another time altogether.

Favorite Weapons:
He has a set of twin hidden blades that he uses when he's undetected by his targets. However, if he's been detected and in a close combat scenario, Sorath will pull out a long sword. It's hilt is in the shape of a cross and its blade is silver, etched with the same strange runes that line his arms.

Strengths: At least 3
Sorath has many strengths, one of which is his wings, which allow him to fly in the sky like a bird. He's incredibly talented with his sword as well as the hidden blades that hide in his gauntlets. Another strength that he has that acts more like a supernatural power than anything would be his ability to read people, almost as though he can read their minds and know exactly what their intentions are.

Weaknesses: Both physical and psychological (ex: easily aggravated as a psychological trait)
The weaknesses Sorath has are mostly hidden. However, his wings are fragile enough to break with enough force. His scar is also a weakness, though one he refuses to acknowledge half the time because it's not real hindering to him. It just makes him have a small amount of trouble seeing out of that eye, especially in his peripheral.

Psychologically, though, he's rather strong. The only thing he suffers from is a single nightmare that recurs every time he sleeps. It's his curse: his reminder of where he'd come from and what had happened to him, though he never speaks of it and he never reveals the truth to anyone, shrouding him more in mystery. This nightmare isn't the only thing that haunts him, however. When he's alone and patrolling the city from the skies, he has memories that relapse within his mind, showing him the people he had lost in his past.

Background/Biography:

Sorath doesn't have a memory of his life prior to living in the city. All he remembers was that he had been falling from a very high place, pain searing his right eye and blood rising up from the wound instead of gravity pulling it down. He didn't even remember how he got his scar, or why he was falling, but this is what he did know: he was different from others.
He had practically crash-landed right inside of city limits, creating a rather large crater that drug through most of the street he'd landed on until he'd came to a stop somewhere in the heart of it. With no strength to stand, Sorath remained still and almost looked like he was dead had it not been for his chest rising and falling in a calming manner.
He could barely hear any noise as sirens began to go off followed by the flashing of blue, red and white lights, accompanied by many strange voices. They surrounded him and he could do nothing except lay there, dazed and in pain.

Everything had begun to fade from his sight and his ears began to ring rather loudly before he lost consciousness. When he woke up, his surroundings had changed from the strange, tall buildings to the interior of a structure that looked lived in.
This was where Sorath met the man who had taken him in under his wing. This man had offered Sorath help and refuge so many times and it had eventually gotten to a point where he had asked where Sorath had even come from in the first place, to which he didn't have the answer.
Not having any idea on where he'd come from, his host decided to find out exactly where Sorath had come from and they went out for a drive far into the countryside.
There, the man pointed out a facility that was well guarded and surrounded by a barbed wire fence. He then explained that this place was someplace that no one in their right mind would want to go to work and that they mainly took innocents and criminals, wiped their memories and started fresh, practically rebuilding them from scratch.

Sorath agreed with the man that this was sick and twisted. It was here that something stirred inside of his head and it caused him to explain to his host that he remembered falling but nothing else, which perplexed the man who had given him a place to lay his head.
For a few years, they tried to figure out exactly where he'd come from but to no avail. Sorath gave up by this point and decided to get familiar with the city, which had become his home now.
He explored every street, every alley and every nook and cranny of the city until he could walk the streets confidently without getting himself lost. Everywhere went somewhere, he reasoned, and he was right. No matter where he was, he always managed to find his way home again.

It had been Christmas of 2019 when action finally found its way into Sorath's quaint little life. He had been doing his usual walk route, though remained on the ground as the cold air was too much for him to be in the air.
Someone had run past him and the quick movement caught his eye. Following after this person was the sound of police sirens and cars zooming past him on the road. Curiosity gripped him hard and he wound up following after the cars.
He watched for a time, taking in every single detail of the man as well as what was going on. Slowly, unknown to any of the cops that had arrived, Sorath was approaching the scene and he wasn't the only one.

Men in robes were also beginning to close in on this scene, men he wasn't sure about. With one downward brush of his wings, Sorath found himself on the rooftop looking down as the scene began to escalate into something more serious.
Without thinking, Sorath reacted and plunged off the roof onto the man who had been running. His weight alone caused the man to crash into the ground. Sorath's wings were lifted high and immediately did their disappearing act so if the cops had noticed them, they would quickly shake it off as just a trick of the light.
He looked up as most of the cops surrounded them and cuffed the man that was under him. As quickly as he'd jumped in to intervene, Sorath left the scene for the police to clean up.

A while after that had happened, Sorath was quickly kidnapped from the streets and taken to a new location, one he wasn't familiar with. After he had his blindfold removed, he was given the run down of what was going on and was given the truth of the situation of the world: Templars were wanting to dominate all life and get rid of free will, a God given right to all humanity. Sorath didn't approve of this at all and was immediately drafted into the Assassin's Brotherhood.
He went through the training that all others went through, however quickly climbed the ranks of the Brotherhood to Master Assassin. Despite all this, though, Sorath chose to live among the civilians and chose to return to his host's house. This is where things went south for him.
The house he was staying at got broken into while he was away and he returned to the house turned upside down practically and the family nowhere to be seen.
Infuriated, Sorath left in a rage of silver feathers. As soon as he'd left, a blood red mask began to take shape across his face, making his silver eyes pop very vividly. He hunted down the people who had dared attack his only known home and killed them all in different, unique ways not pertaining to humanity whatsoever.
It almost appeared as though he knew how to fight and the Assassins who witnessed his kills took this information back to the Den.

Sorath had proven himself as an asset to the Assassins, as their Ace against the Templars because of the way he handled himself during his massacre of those who had dared touch his home.
Now, he remains in that very house and searches desperately for the people who had shown him so much kindness. And perhaps one day, he'll find out the truth of not only his past but the disappearance of the family that took him in.
