"Actually, I am supposed to kill you" Elizabeth said with a hint of regret in her voice as she handed the contract to William. "Even if I take you back to Tulum, there's a very small chance that you will manage to escape. It's not impossible, just unlikely." Elizabeth sat in silence for a while as she tried to devise a plan to get William out of the mess he had wound up in by sheer accident. A sly smile crept onto her face as an idea came to her. "I just need proof that I killed you, and that proof is this feather dipped in your blood" Elizabeth explained as she showed William the white feather, "However, there is no way for them to prove that it is your blood. There's a man I'm going to kill, he's not a contract but he needs to be put down. I'll just dip the feather in his blood, maybe throw in a hand for extra measure, and they'll be none the wiser." Elizabeth sipped at her rum for a minute, wondering if William understood what she was saying before she shook her head. "Basically, I won't kill you, but someone else will need to die so that you may live."
