Background/Biography: Benjamin was born in England to a single wealthy man who handled many of of the shipments to the English colonies. The man, Benjamin's father, was also a patron to the assassins. The Templars held control over England and did not want to give that up in any way. They found Benjamin's father when he was still a boy and put an end to him. Benjamin was visiting with a member of the brotherhood when this occurred and with the brotherhood he stayed. It was the least they could do for his father. They raised him as best they could, trying to give him a normal childhood while still teaching him the ways of the creed. Benjamin took the life of a Templar for the first time when he was sixteen. At the same time, England was becoming a worse and worse place for assassins to be. Using the last of Benjamin's father's resources, the brotherhood chartered a boat out of England for him. It was too late though. The man that Benjamin had been staying with on the day of his father's death was a Templar spy. The Templars raided the brotherhood hideout that Benjamin was hidden at. Benjamin was able to escape after killing the spy, though to accomplish that he sacrificed a portion of his cheek and jaw.
Benjamin escaped to the new world, bloody and disillusioned. The remnants of the American brotherhood were not able to help Benjamin much, dealing with their own internal struggles and lack of resources. That is when Benjamin turned away from the brotherhood. He lived in squalor for several years, relying on the skills taught to him by the brotherhood to barely survive. At the age of 20 he enlisted with the British military to fight in the French and Indian war. He fought for the full nine years of the war, only taking leave at the end after being returned from a French prison. Throughout the war he ended up taking several Templar lives, despite turning away from the struggle of the brotherhood and the Templars. He now has a choice to make as the revolution marches on. Does he stay neutral, or does he join the Assassin's once more?
