Through the Storm (open)

"Hold on lads! We're almost through!" barked Jack through the raging storm. They had been out at sea for about 2 days. Jack and his crew had run across a hurricane on their way out of Nassau, and Jack knew that the eye of the storm was near. He turned to his quartermaster, who was leaning out of the side of the ship, vomiting into the ocean. "If you can't handle a little storm like this, your gonna be in a heap of trouble later on!" Jack was having second thoughts recruiting him. Of course, Jack was drunk while looking over his form. He had skipped over the part of him not handling storms too well, and he was regretting it. Jack looked out the side of the ship and saw a water spout heading right for them. He hurried to the wheel, shoved aside his helmsman, who was half drunk, and steered away from the spiraling hazard. He sighed in relief. He steered forward until they were safe inside the eye of the storm. But Jack knew that the eye of the storm can be deceiving.

Sighing in anger as his ship, the (i]Maybelle[/i], rocked violently, as it sailed, Damian perked up when ge heard a crew man speak up. "Ship spotted, Cap'n! They... they be goin' inside the hurricane! On purpose!". Not believing the man's words, the Titan of a man pulled out his telescope, looked through it towards the telescope, and was dumbfounded. Looking towards his Helmsman, who was unlucky to have his turn at the wheel now, and yelled, "Get us farther away, but close enough - I want to aid these... idiots... and tell 'em a hurricane won' lead ya to anythin' good.", as he downed a but of whiskeym before tossing it. His wife told him to stop drinking, what with him being a father in six months... didn't want her to find out he fell of his ship drunk and drowned. Knowing her, she'd find a way to choke him in the Afterlife.

Jack looked at his crew, which was all beat up from the storm. He yelled with rage, knowing that it wasn't over. He walked over to the side of the ship. "Wait- what's that?" Jack looked out at the sea. He could have sworn he saw a ship. Then again, he did have a bad eye. Just then, a crew member walked up to him. "Cap'n! Some of our men have reported seeing a ship sailing towards us!" Jack HAD seen a ship. "All hands on deck!" Jack ordered his helmsman to continue through the storm. "B-but sir, I-" he started. "That's an order!" Jack barked. His helmsman said nothing more, but instead took the wheel unwillingly. Jack was going to lure the ship into the storm. "No navy's gonna stop me." Jack walked up to the front of the ship. He looked out as they departed from their safe spot. "Brace, lads!"

Still observing the Pirate ship, he asked the somewhat taller man next to him, and asked, "Jonny - you seein' this crap? They goin' away ftom us. Pfft - Guess they never seen an Assassin ship 'fore.". Jonny - Jonathan - simply replied, "Guess so. Say, brother - how 'bout we follow 'em? Sure, not safe, but, 'ell, why not? Just gotta go 'round the hurricane - lead 'em to safety. Afterall, 'tis likely their fire'll be sucked in the hurricane."[/color]. Upon hearing his brother's idea, Damian simply said, "Jonathan... that the first thing ya said since yeh 'rived here that ain't somethin' ah'll'd've said. Let's do this.", as he took over the wheel, steering towards the ship with full sail.

Aleksandr stood there on a nearby island with his small crashed boat on shore. He looked over at one of the ships calling for help. "Help! Come on, help me!" he yelled. He soon noticed the ship was owned an captain'd by Assassins which made his chances of getting on a bit more better. "Hey! I'm with the brotherhood as well!"

Jack was steering the ship through the storm. He looked back to see if the ship was following him. To his surprise, it was going around the storm! "Blast it- they're too clever! Just then one of his men walked up to him and said, "Umm, sir, I don't think that's a navy ship." Jack looked closer at the ship. "Wait a minute- that's an assassin ship!" Jack turned the ship and started for the assassins. Just then, a bolt of lightning crashed down and hit the front of the ship. Jack was knocked into the water. He swam back up to the surface and started for the ship. He heard a creaking and looked up. A part of the ship was falling toward him! He tried to swim away, but he wasn't fast enough. It hit him and knocked him out. He sank to the bottom of the ocean, unconscious.

Aleksandr jumped into the water without thinking and swam his hardest to the bottom but kept getting pushed aside by waves. He found a air pocket and just waiting till the waves in the lower level ocean died down. He kept swimming until he reached Jacks cold unconscious body and he picked it up, in a struggle he made it back to the air pocket, breathing the air. He took turns holding Jack's body above the water for him to get enough air. He eventually swam to the surface and onto the island. Aleksandr coughing, watching Jack until he woke up. Aleksandr had a knife readied just in case Jack wanted to strike him.

After switching spots with the Helmsman, Damian pointed towards the island with the men on it, Damian said, "'ey, sail over there. Don' seem righ' to leave 'em.". Upon his captain's command, the Helmsman nodded, and began steering towards the island. "After this, lad," said Damian to the Helmsman again, "I'll take the wheel, 'ight?". If these men decided to fight him and his brother, they would be severely out-matched, due to him being 6'10, his brother 6'11, and he had an entire crew aswell. Running quickly up front, above the figure head, Damian balanced, and, striking a intimdating pose, yelled, "We, are Assassins, allied with a fair bunch of Pirates, some you likely heard of! If you be allied with British or any form o' Navy, then I suggest disarming yourself now!", the last bit specifically towards the awake man.

Aleksandr's face lite up. He pulled back his hood and placing the knife back into the left side of his coat. "Then we are allies. I was just sent by the Russia Brotherhood to assist yours. I am Aleksandr. Aleksandr Kodziev of the Russian Assassin Brotherhood." He got up from the rock he was sitting on "This is a random Pirate I found nearly dead upon his ships failure. Hey, may I come aboard, Captain?" Aleksandr grew a smile upon his face.

Smiling, Damian nodded as the ship came to a halt. Jumping down onto the island from his spot, he said calmly, "Good. I am not suprised help has been sent - many great pirates, one being a great ally has fallen. 'course, I speakk of Thatch, Hornigold, and, sadly, Ma-..." Catching his words, he then said, "...James Kidd. We are lucky Anne Bonny lives.". From his side, he tossed the man a small bottle. "Make 'im drink it. Scottish Whiskey, quite an old batch.". Finally, he registered the man's last words, and said, "Plannin' on it. That feller too. Front o' his ship is gone, an' his crew's not in sight."

He caught the bottle and looked at it. "A shame, his ship." he said as he poured the whiskey into Jack's mouth. "I know nothing about pirates but I'm guessing these men were honorable. I was wondering, were is your Brotherhood Sanctuary?" Aleksandr was pacing back and forth looking at him. He stopped and looked over the ocean watching the storm fade.

Jack woke up on the deck of an unfamiliar ship. He looked around and saw that he was on the assassin's ship. He looked up at the tall one and said, "Who the devil are you?" Then he looked around and saw the wreck of his ship sinking in the ocean. "No, not my ship!" He turned back to the tall assassin. "What happened? How did I get on this ship? Is my crew safe?"
