Hello, I'm new here, I plan on making characters for one or two of the timelines already in place, but I have a proposition for a new timeline, World War 2.. In the lore of the AC series, this pot of gold has a very good premise that is largely ignored.. It seems to be a great victory for the Templars, as they basically end the war exactly as plan, and subsequently shape the future of the world, leading to the near absolute control they have in the modern day. I thought that maybe there were many stories to tell of the assassins here, many Pyrrhic victories on their path to subvert and break templar plans, ultimately failing.. saving the death of Hitler, killed in frustration as he attempted to flee his bunker, after shooting his body double.
The setting could be very open ended, as pretty much every country in the world was involved. For assassins not attached to their respective country's military, operations in hidden cells would work relatively the same as it always has. For players in the Allied or Axis armies however, the lesser known generals in the chain of command have created a solution. Men of the order would be "drafted" to serve in a unit known only as the 72nd. In every country involved in the war this unit exists, all bearing the same patch on a uniform's right shoulder, The red symbol of the Assassin Order with the number 72 in the middle. The main mission of the 72nd is to serve the local cells to the best of their ability, attaining military information pertinent to any moves the local assassin's are attempting to make, as well as striking at Templar targets serving in the enemy's military or even their own, using trust as their means of concealment.
But anywho... There's my idea, take it or leave it, I'mma work on some characters for the established timelines now.
