A Call To Arms (OPEN)

(Judging from The AC games, it was said Masyaf was attacked a lot.. so This is what I am going with. TO Start out it should be only the Assassin's rping with David.. but once the Call to arms happens.. Templars and free agents are free to join as well )

Another normal day in Maysaf translated into another normal day for the Assassin David Shuter. There were many things to do in the Assassin stronghold, although David's favorite thing to do was train with more seasoned Assassin's.. or teaching the less knowing ones.

Today however, was not one for fun.. but one for duty. David was on border patrol.. or guard duty one could say. he stood by the Gates to the city and watched people come and go, in case a Templar tried to invade. It had happened too many times before.

So there David stood, in his normal assassin's gear, his dragon hilt sword belted to his side.. his throwing knifes also on his belt. His quiver and bow on his back, and of course his two modified hidden blades on his wrists.. if anyone tried to invade... they would be sorry.

Masyaf was also home to a rather unexpected originated assassin, Norman Keek, whom currently was climbing a tree like a human cat. His hands on both sides of the tree, using his entire body-weight to lift himself up into the tree and onto the tree branch.
Three children, two boys and one girl, giggled as they waited for him to throw down the apples, in which, shortly after the giggle was made, Norman did. Three bright red apples landed in each children hands before they said something in their native language that Norman didn't understand before running off. He assumed this meant 'thank you'.
Enjoying the peacefulness of the village, the Englishman led back and sighed in joy on the branch, awaiting the daily weirdness that always seemed to strike on these sorts of days.

This was boring work indeed for the orphaned Assassin. He preferred the more enjoyable part of their job... Real assassinations. The chase.. the adrenaline when you are just about to take the life... What David didn't like was the actual life taking. He knew he was doing a justice to the world, yet taking lives were not easy.. and if they were... he would be exactly what they were fighting against.

He saw a fellow Assassin enjoying his day and sighed quietly to himself, wishing he could do that. He then played with his hidden blades, admiring them and trying to decide if there was any way for them to be better.

While everyone was busy with their stuff outside, Akilah was busy rearranging her bookshelf as she has received a new stash of books. A to B... B to C... C to D... Yeah. It was complicated to keep everything in order. But it was something to consider when you want to find something easily. As she organized, she took a moment to gaze at her missing finger... Boy did it hurt that day. But it was worth it in the end. It was just a little stub now. After a brief moment of reflection, Akilah resumed to her labor.

Aquilas was lying under the shade of a tree with his eyes closed and relaxing. He stretched, flexing his powerful muscles and sighing. He probably should be training. Assassin's did not look well on lazing about. Aquilas could just imagine Ezio's voice scolding him. But that was in his past life...or his future...ah. Aquilas scowled at the confusing train of thought and sat up, looking about the courtyard. His brothers were being dutiful, sparring in the ring for those to watch idly. It was an especially hot day, so Aquilas was not the only one lazing around.

David continued to play with his blades until he heard a noise far off. His head snapped up. That was the sound of a horse cry of fear. That wasn't really something to be concerned about, as horses got scared all the time, yet David was not about to just shrug it off, and he got down on the ground and put his ear to it. It shook and the sound of many foot falls reached his ear... only a large amount of soldiers could make that noise.... they were under attack.

So David yelled out to anyone who could hear"SOUND THE ALARMS! WE ARE UNDER ATTACK!" He pulled his new sword from its sheath and began to help escort the civilians indoors.

Aquilas was jolted into action. He rain to the main gate and looked out over the city. Being up on the cliff he could see out the expanse of land before the city gates. It looked like an army was marching in on them. He dashed down into the city, ushering citizens to the castle, where they would be safer. Already assassins were running out to meet the enemy head on, and others were leading people to the mountain pass, in case they needed to leave the city entirely. There was still no sign of his brothers, but Aquilas was not too concerned. This was their second go at life. They knew how to handle eachother. Aquilas' blade popped free. he had sacrificed his finger, as it was tradition, but his was still the one he had had in his previous life. The one modified by Leonardo Da Vinci. He had one blade to each wrist, and on his left hand a clawed gauntlet. A weapon his mother had favored. He was ready to meet the enemy in battle.

Akilah dropped some books in surprise before readying her blade. It was common that they were under attack, but it was always something Akilah always flinches at. Her hood goes up, readying herself and began to run out into the courtyard. Even if she got tired of the constant attacks, she can't just let it happen without intervention. She made it to the court yard, standing near the entrance to the interior castle. Her sword was at her side, held in her right hand.

David pulled aside one of the guards and told him "Go make sure Mentor Al Mulim has been brought to safety, I will stand my guard here." he then dove into cover when an arrow volley came over the wooden wall. Seeing as he was the ighest ranking assassin in site, he yelled "Assassins! To me! To me!" it wqould be mere seconds before men came pouring through the door.

Aquilas bounded up stone walls, the talons of his gauntlet digging in to give him extra support. Novices were being ushered after the villagers and the journeymen were finding the nearest Master Assassin. Already Aquilas had men following after him. He gave orders to disperse. Crowding together was not a good idea. Once he was up the wall he huffed and looked out. The army was getting nearer, and as they got in range the Assassin archers were loosing arrows down on them. Aquilas heard the call of David and looked over, cocking his head to the side. He stayed where he was, not far from him, and waited for them enemy to start swarming.

Akilah heard David's call and ran on over. Her brown cloak flowed behind her and her breathing fast. Being under attack is always a rush. But that didn't stop her. Once at David's side, she caught her breath and looks up at him. "What do you say is our starting plan? Do we go for an ambush or do we risk our lives and barge in?"

Aquilas sighed and joined the other two, It is pretty hard to ambush an enemy that has already ambushed us' He pointed out. He looked out over the army that was attempting to down the giant wooden gates to the city, 'I think it best we stay and protect the city, instead of going out and leaving it vulnerable to the enemy. It may be best to get the assassins to the bottom of the village to meet the enemy there and stay within our gates' Aquilas was speaking from a lifetime of experience, but he could control nothing. He was a Master Assassin, but all he could really do was suggest.

"It is simple" David spoke as he weighed the options "We let them come. We fight them on our home turf. Hide in bales of hay, on roofs. When they storm our gates we will catch time by surprise and hopefully scare them away, If not we fight until we get orders from Al Mulim himself" He was by far the highest ranking assassin, but they had no time to argue over who was in charge.

Aquilas raised a brow slowly as if taking extra time to parse through what the other man was thinking. Aquilas was already of the mind that this man was very arrogant (and Aquilas was arrogant enough for ten men) and he also seemed to think that he was the highest ranking, despite the fact that master assassin was the highest rank below the mentor and there was more than one master assassin. But Aquilas was an amiable man and was trying to debate whether arguing the fact that the invading army would be hard to surprise while they were storming into their midst was worth the breath. ' Brother, ' Aquilas began. He remembered this man vaguely, standing by his father's side from when he was a child. If Aquilas remembered correctly he doesn't change much. He stopped and thought it over. Journey men were gathered around both he and David. Some of which Aquilas was training. Shaking his head he turned instead to good men and show quickly. He told them to defend the upper levels and to make sure the others spread out as much as possible.

She cursed and kicked the door out of frustration. "Can SOMEONE please let me out!? Goddamnit!". Nyx got locked, again, and she was getting sick of it. Once she found out who did this she'd make him pay for it! Thats for sure. No time for thinking about revenge now however. She heard the alarms and a shout. Everyone was needed to protect the city. She took one of the knives laying around in the cabin to open the lock but it didn't work out. Suddenly light peered though a crack in the doors; someone had opened them in their rush to the rest of the groups, and Ailith ran out, following the mass towards the group assassins she saw standing near the wall. "I was on the training fields and I was about to get the stones from the weaponery, but someone locked the door! I am sorry for arriving this late!" She told the two assassins she knew to be her superiors. "What are the orders?"

Peter looked at the large force trying to,in essence,collectively kick down a door.After observing for several minutes,he returned to the side of the wall and continued along it's width.After several minutes,he saw a perch,and began climbing upwards.Assassins were still rushing around,trying to organize the defense.Peter readied one of his hatchets,and slung himself over the battlements,his hatchet landing in a poor lad's chest.After tossing the corpse over the wall,Peter donned his hood."Time to get to work."Peter mumbled as he headed inside the building.

Ailith, after receiving the commands, followed some fellow novices towards the door and prepared herself for when the enemy would break through.
Her thoughts began to wander; would this be her last fight? What if she'd get hurt so badly, she would be put off duty? Like Malik... She didnt want sit and write all day; at least, that's what she'd heard he did all day.
Would this count for her promotion to a 3rd rank assassin? How many losses would there be today?

Apparwntly someone noticed her daydreaming and bumped her arm; "Pay attention! Do not let yourself get distracted! Have you not learnt anything?!"

Peter walked through the building,hiding his face.His weapons were hidden,so as to grant him some more secrecy.He meandered towards the library,where his  objective was.Peter opened the doors and shut them behind him,and began climbing."Where are you..."He said as he scanned the bookshelves."Where...."Peter froze and hid as he heard the doors open.He readied his hatchets.After the footsteps grew softer,he resumed his search.Peter sighed.The grunts would not last much longer."Huh..."He remarked as he noticed an old book on a desk.Wiping off the dust,Peter opened the book."...Interesting..."

David knew this was a gamble, but really he had no other choice. To let the attackers pilage freely through the town before making their way to the gates of the castle, where they would only have to show enough force to break the wall and get to the Mentor. So he said in a rushed and urged whisper "Aquilas, brother. Get some of our best assassins to follow me in the ambush, meanwhile have everyone retreat to the castle. have someone inform the Mentor of our plan. If this works, we may be able to attack the enemy on two fronts and thus confuse them and win. Trust me in this, my brother." He then awaited his orders to be followed or defied.

An assassin came up to Ailith, he recieved orders from someone to retrieve the best assassins and have them join David in an ambush, however "I do not think we have got the time to select every assassin. You join them and bring two more assassins you know and think are qualified for this task."
Ailith was too surprised, "But I-."
"No buts, I will call others." The assassin pushed her shoulder forward. "Now go!"

The man was gone before Ailith could grasp the situation. She was still seen as a novice and only got small assignments, and now she had to ambush an entire army.. No time to think, she had to move fast; luckily the chaos hadn't taken over all of her brains because he know who, and where David would be.

As soon as she reached him she was ready to tell him about why she was not suited and she was picked, but the other assassins who got picked already reached them and with it the opportunity to back out left.

Aquilas leaned in and listened, lips tight. For a moment he thought the words over, eyes traveling over David. After a few moments he nodded. Turning he relayed the orders to the surrounding assassin's to follow David. Then he turned to his twin brothers and jer ked his head in the direction of the fortress, silently telling them to follow him. He started running, getting the others to retreat toward the castle. He caught a novice and told the boy to relay the plan to their grandmaster. He focused on strengthening the forces at the castle gates, preparing to defend it.
