"I suppose you're right, Johnny" Christopher said sadly as he forced himself to sit up. He pulled a bottle of rum from his bag, and looked at it happily before taking a sip. "You cannot write off the entire Shay line because of Lucifer. Great grandfather Edwin Shay liberated slaves, and stood against the Templars. Grandmother Elizabeth Shay was an amazing person, and a great Assassin. Aunt Krystal Shay Donnelly was one of the sweetest people to ever live, and she always saw the best in everyone. Remember, brother, we carry Shay blood, don't forget all the good the Shays have done." Christopher took a rather large sip of his rum, and smiled warmly. It reminded him of the simpler days back at Nassau, Tulum, and Inagua. He rested his hand on his wound, and took another sip of his rum as he looked at the emblem on the bottle; it was Elizabeth's emblem. "Sooner or later, the Shays will return to the Brotherhood. I just hope the Donnellys will have some compassion, show some kindness to the next Shay Assassin." Christopher didn't realise that it would take over two hundred years for a Shay to be born into the Assassin Brotherhood.

"I'm sure," John said quietly. "That, when the next Shay Assassin is born, the Donnelly to follow them will be kind toward them. But until then, it would seem, that the Donnellys would hunt the Shays. Probably. I'm not sure about that." John sighed softly and ruffled his wolf's fur for a moment before he laid down with his head resting lightly on the wolf's side. "My only hope is that our line continues on into the future." He knew how close the Donnellys had come to becoming completely dead and it was thanks to the union of Elizabeth Shay and Samuel Donnelly that they still lived.

"We can only hope for some peace eventually, Johnny" Christopher said with a quiet laugh. All this talk about betrayal and death had become a bit depressing, so Christopher thought of how they could change the subject. "You won't believe what happened to me a while ago. Went hunting for some deer, and ended up being chased up a tree by a bear. Damned thing wouldn't leave."

John gave a heart-felt laugh, peering up at his brother from where he lay. "You must have had some food that he wanted," he said happily, his mood changing swiftly. That was the unique thing about John. His mood would change on a dime. One minute, he could be so depressing that hardly anyone, except his brother, would want to be around him, the next he could be angry and look ready to take down a bear with nothing except his hands, and then the next minute, he could be so happy that he could probably chase the clouds away on a rainy day.
