The Profane, A Warship Empty
PostSubject: The Profane, A Warship   The Profane, A Warship EmptyWed Mar 18, 2015 10:24 pm

(Anyone can join. I am basically just hunting a warship and taking it for Joseph to use as a ship. My only two requests are that Joseph doesn't die, and he gets the ship in the end. Anything out of those boundaries is fair game. )

"Addison." Joseph said, as he sat in the desk in Fort Arsenal. The man he requested was in the armory, gearing up another new member of The Knights.

"Aye?" Addison quickly responded. He handed the new recruit his final piece of equipment, and sent him on his way

"Gather up a crew large enough to sail a warship. We are going after Le Bouclier tonight." Joseph said as he closed a logbook and pushed it aside.

"I can see who I can scrounge together. I'm guessing you want me to leave the Fort Arsenal and Sanctuary guards?" The man suggested. The Sanctuary was where The Rats, as they were previously called, had been based out of.

"Indeed. We are leaving aboard The Scarbourer at 8 tonight. So have 30 men ready to go at Fort Arsenal by then." Joseph got up from the desk.

"As you wish." Addison said, rusing off in his black Officer uniform. The Knights all had black uniforms. It made them clearly stand out from the English and French soldiers.

Joseph walked out of the office and into the Fort. Men in Knight uniforms were training outside, under one of Josephs newest disciples, a Knight known as Larry. He was a thick and muscular man, yet fast and agile. A great man for a fight. And a great teacher for the new Knights.

Guards were watching every corner of the Fortress. The Knights had been around for two months, and now totalled over 100 in size. The English warship, The Scarbourer was docked at the Fort. With English soldiers amassed on it. It was preparing for the hunt of the night.

Joseph took a deep breath. He was proud of his hard work paying off.

The Profane, A Warship Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Profane, A Warship   The Profane, A Warship EmptyThu Mar 19, 2015 2:09 am

Conor O'Riley had worked on a man that went by the name of Joseph Wiles. Joseph had agreed to repay O'Riley with a few favors. It was about time to cash in one of those favors.

O'Riley was running low on supplies. Normally supplies were not a issue for O'Riley, but recently the supplier he used had been being held up by a small fleet of pirates. One large enough to causes problems, but not draw the eye of British navy. Well O'Riley needed to put an end to this before it started to cut into his business. That is where Joseph comes in.

O'Riley had caught wind that Joseph was going on a "late night" sail. O'Riley thought this to be the perfect time for Joseph to own up to one of the large favors.

Having used a few minor favors from old mercenaries that had ended up in the Knights, O'Riley was able to walk right up to Joseph's office door. With a slight smile he waved to Joseph as Joseph laid eyes on him.

Joseph sighed heavily. Of all the things to deal with before the sail, why this man?

"Cashing in a favor I presume?" Joseph asked. He eyed O'Riley, making sure he wasn't going to try any "loyal" moves for John.

"You presume right?" he said with a large grin walking right up to Joseph. As he got closer he opened up his jacket that he were because of the sharp wind. He did so to show that he had no weapons on him. "I heard you were going on a late night sail tonight" he said still happy.

"Aye. I have a ship to capture. This sounds like a pretty big favor." Joseph was hoping he could get rid of all of them as quick as possible.

"Aye. It will make use of one of your large favors and if the job is done well I might take of a minor one two." O'Riley said "But why don't we discuss that over a drink?" He patted Joseph on the back. He generally was happy to see Joseph again.

"Normally I'd love to, but I have things to gsther, men to account for, captains to speak with, orders to give, plans to create... the list goes on." Joseph patted O'Riley on the back. "We can go into my office and have a bit though." Joseph walked the man into the office. Addison was going through papers and didn't mind the company.

O'Riley saw the man and realize it was the one John called the two face lap dog. O'Riley just flashed him smile. "May I take a seat," He said gesturing to the chair in front of what he assumed was Joseph's desk.

O'Riley sat down. "Well ya see. I am running lower on supplies, which normally wouldn be a problem expect that my supplier is being held up by a small fleet of pirates. He is usually allowed to get away with some of his supplies, but that barely even cover his part he has to hand over to the brisith. So ya see my dilemma?" he said while getting comfortable.

"Ya see I thought you would say that." O'Riley smirked. "First of there is only about three ships. Secondly I do need ya to sink any of them. I just need you to make them disappear for a while. Just long enough that I can get some supplies I figured a smart man like you could figure that out." He smirked and leaned in.

"I'll just board them, take some recruits and supplies and then leave them maroon them on their own ship. Simple enough. It will have to wait until after I get what I'm going after." Joseph leaned back in his chair and put his feet up. Perhaps tomorrow afternoon or evening. That is the soonest it can be done. If all goes right."

O'Riley sighed "See that is where we are going to have an issue. I need them by tonight or early morning. I would probably be fine the time ya picked, but I have a patient that needs some of the supplies they took to treat the man right away or he will die and I really do not need that on my hands. Ya can understand why, right?" He said gesturing to Joseph.

"Well I'm afraid that's the only time it can be done. Unless you were to accompany me, along with your patient." Joseph proposed. He didn't like the idea. At all. But he needed to pay back O'Riley sooner rather than later.

"That sounds like a decent idea, but I can not go along with myself." he said with a slight frown. "Just in case some one comes in. If I am not there and it is serious my assistant might not be able to do the job properly."

O'Riley had hired an assistant from one of the men that wanted to joins the street dogs, but did not like to fight. John sent him to O'Riley and since then the man has had a job and has become the guild medic.

"but I do have a solution that would solve problems for both of us." he said with a large smirk.

Timothy's ship sailed at half sail across the calm waters, whilist his Grandfather sat in a chair near him, a chair Timothy brought aboard. "Beauty of a day, don't you think?" He said, turning slightly to his Grandfather. "Aye... Very calm waters, indeed..." Replied the old, frail, tall man. They had yet to notice the two ships nearest them, and simply talked. "What was the story you told me before? About you being chased by a girl's father?" Asked the young man. Damian chuckled quickly and gladly, and said, "Ah... I remember the day barley... he swore he was going to kill me, while my P-" "Grandfather!" Said the man quickly - if there was one way to make Timothy embarrassed, it was his grandfather saying something indecent.

Joseph shrugged. "You have yourself a deal. I don't see anything wrong with that." He set down the bottle and got up. "I am leaving at 8 o clock tonight. Have the men here by seven thirty. The Scarbourer leaves promptly at eight."

Joseph walked to the door and said, "I've got things to prepare for."

Meanwhile... The French warship sailed across the North Atlantic, to dock at a rural island off the East coast. It was making its way to the post, with an escort of two brigs. If the French ship was to be classified, it would be a man o war.

The pirate fleet of 3 ships sailed south of there. It ransacked ships heading for new york, boarding and capturing the crew. Stealing cargo for profit. They traveled in a pack to outnumber targets.

The Profane, A Warship Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Profane, A Warship   The Profane, A Warship EmptyFri Mar 20, 2015 4:33 am

All that John knew about his job for the night was that it was a favor for O'Riley, he had to bring O'Riley's patient with, O'Riley would proved the ship, and that John needed to grab a special medication off a pirate ship. John knew exactly what the medicine looked like. It should be in a dark green glass bottle. The bottle would have an upside down triangle on its side and the wording would be in french. He also knew he had to be there at 7:30.

At six forty five John began to get ready. He exited his office in the guild hall. Just to the right of his office was the sparing room. A few new recruits were being trained by one of John's higher up named Robert Smith. Robert was one of the first to join the guild and he was perfect to teach recruits in fighting.

The street dogs was a guild about 60 now. It was not an overly well known guild, but that is how John wanted it. It was known enough that all men could find jobs to work. If men who wanted to join the guild were not fighters or thieves John would find them a different job, just like Richard. He was a young man who was a poor fighter and did not like to rob, but he had some of the most steady hands that John had seen. So John sent him to study under O'Riley as the new guild medic.

John slowly walked down the stairs to the armory of the guild. The armory were guard tightly by men that John trusted fully. It was separated into long range, mid-range, close range, and stealth weapons. John passed all the doors and went to his private collection.

From his collection he grabbed his blunderbuss which he put in a specially made hostler on his left hip. He grabbed a swapped his pocket dagger for a dueling dagger. He then grabbed a french naval ax that he used to replace his normal naval ax he had lost in the rat job. For one last touch he grabbed two pouch of bombs. One was full of smoke bombs. The other was filled with explosive bombs.

John then went back to his office to grab his brown jacket that had a leather hood on it. On the right shoulder was the patch of the guild, an assassin's symbol placed on top of a Templar cross. The symbol represented the dream of the guild. To take the goals and good ideas of both the assassins and templars and combine them.

John took a small walk of about ten blocks to O'Riley's place. He quickly went in.

"Well hello there John!" Richard said. He was a shorter fellow, but a nice kid. He was only about seventeen, but he was good at his job. "O'Riley is busy with some paper work, but here is the address that you need to bring Fredrick to." he handed John a slip a paper with the address written on it, "He is already to go. Just make sure he does not over work himself."

John nodded, "Thanks Dick." He went to the bedroom that was connect to the room.

"I guess it must be time," Fredrick said getting of the bed. He was a younger man as well. He was slightly older then Richard at the age of twenty. He were some normal brown work pants and white work shirt. on the left should of the shirt was the guild patch. Fredrick had short blond curly hair. He bared no face hair. He still had a kidish face.

"It is." John said nodding.

The two men left the building and made their way to the address that John was give. The John knew a little about Fredrick so they just had some simple small talk on the way. As they got close to the address a few fort walls came into view. John then quick doubled the addressed.

"You are fucking kidding me!" John said with shock and anger.

"What?!" Fredrick said with completely surprise.

"Lets just say I know the man who owns the ship we are using."

Fredrick gave John a confused look. They both walked up to front gate of the fort and John said to a guard in the look out post. "We are here to see Joseph Wiles. We were sent by O'Riley. Mr. Wiles should be expecting us." he had a slight tone of dislike in his voice.

The guard nodded and said, "Follow me." He guided them to Josephs office. Through the courtyard where 20 men were training. 30 more men in similar black uniforms were boarding The Scarbourer.

The guard brought them to the office and opened the door. Joseph was sitting in his chair with his legs on the table, wearing his usual dark assassin attire.

"Well well well... look who it is." He said in a displeased tone.

"I thought that this was the place." John said with strong distaste. "I see you have done well with the rats." he said as he stepped into the room more.

"John do you know this man?" Fredrick said as he leaned towards John a little.

"Lets just say he use to be an old associate."

The Profane, A Warship Empty
PostSubject: Re: The Profane, A Warship   The Profane, A Warship EmptyFri Mar 20, 2015 7:00 pm

"I would use the word old sparsely under the circumstances, as it appears we are associates once more. Take the patient aboard The Scarbourer. We are sailing for Black Range in a few minutes." Joseph said as he took his feet off of the table.

He stepped up and looked out the window facing the dock. The English crew had emptied the cargo bay of everything except supplies, food, and ammo. The combined crew of Knights and English Sailors had to fit for at least a few hours while they met with the French warship. And they would need to have room on both ships for whatever they plunder from the pirates.

The crews had just finished unloading the cargo and reboarding the vessel. Joseph walked to the armory and equipped his finest decorated sword, dagger, two pistols, and rifle. Then he equipped some smoke bombs, a shrapnel grenade, extra ammunition, and a black gas mask that rested below his chin. His dark assassin uniform made him look like a formidable leader, and an efficient killer.

A few minutes later he walked down the dock to board The Scarbourer.

PostSubject: Re: The Profane, A Warship   The Profane, A Warship EmptyFri Mar 20, 2015 7:12 pm

"I suppose you are right," He lead Fredrick out of the office and towards the Scarbourer. John not happy to have to work with Joseph again, but he was not completely upset either. This would give him the chance to actually see if Joseph was running the Knights like he said he would. It would also let John see if Joseph had grown up at all. He wanted to see if Joseph had lost his cockiness yet.

As John and Fredrick were half way to the Scarbourer Fredrick asked, "So how do you know him."

"I told you we worked on a job together," John replied a little short.

"What job?"

"A job to stop some thieves," John responded leaving out every detail.

"It had to be more then that," Fredrick pushed.

John stopped right before he stepped onto the gangway, "We paired up to over throw the Rats, so to speak. Now get on the ship. Story time is over." he said with some bitterness.

John still disliked that day. That day could have changed history for the better, but instead it just created a stronger guild out of a gang along with a larger Templar army.
