"Alright, let's do this." He said, holding the wrench over his right shoulder." He jumped off of the top of the ship, and landed, crouching, on the land. He stood up, and said, "C'mon men - and women - let's go and find this ring."

The island was beautiful. Trees and grass everywhere. Although it wasn't dense, and in the middle of the island a large grayish black box stood. It was about the size of an SUV.

Red jumped off the side of the yacht, shortly followed by James and Maggie.

"Be careful. You never know with these precursor sites..." James said.

"I know, I know."Joseph hurried to the middle of the island to see the box. He beckoned the others to follow.

Ember "Grim" Shay

Ember hopped off the yacht, and followed the Templars. She didn't particularly like going to temples after the incident, but for some reason, she still went to them. She felt better knowing that someone had been to this temple before, and lived. But then again, she had been to a temple and was one of two of a group of thirteen to enter a temple. Her and Marco being the only two to survive. To calm her nerves, Ember fell slightly behind the group, and had a joint. She looked to Maggie, and gave her an apologetic look.

Joseph approached the area where the door goes. He put his hand on a small pedestal next to it and it lit up golden. The door slid open on the chamber, which revealed stairs going downward. Joseph began walking down the stairs, entering the temple.

Ember "Grim" Shay

Ember quickly sent a message to her old teammate, Marco.

"Hi Marco,
Hopefully I'll see you again. I'm going into a temple nonow
I miss you so much.
Love,
Grim."

Ember stepped lightly as she followed the Templar. She was still nervous that it might end up like a repeat of the last time she entered a temple.

Michael followed suitly, holding the erench over hid right shoulder. He didn't dare speak - for all he knew, the temple could hear. Damned Precursors. He was next to James, but half a foot away from him. The only noise from Michael was silent breathing.

PostSubject: Re: Curses of The Precursors   Curses of The Precursors - Page 7 EmptyThu Mar 19, 2015 12:58 pm

The stairs went down about 50 feet. Then it opened into a large chamber. The ring floated on a pedestal in the far end of the large chamber. The floor went on for about 100 feet before there was a lack of flooring up until the end of the chamber where the ring was suspended, on a lone platform.

Yellow light held a barrier between the canyon like space and the end of the floor. The ceiling ran high, and there were all sorts of floating platforms above the group as they emerged from the stairs. Strange circles and cracks on the wall were seen.

Joseph stopped walking shortly after coming out from the stairs. "It's a bit different. The barrier there wasn't here before. I'm sure there is a way around it. But it looks like we are the first ones here."

Ember "Grim" Shay

Ember looked around her, and mapped out a possible course. Getting to the other side would be easy for her, for the others... not so much, unless they had some Assassin training, or exceptional free-running skills and fingers like a baboon.
"Okay, so we've found the artefact, now what? And how do you intend to cross that" Ember asked as she pointed to the canyon-like space.

"Well I'm sure there is a way. Let me think..." Joseph pondered for a moment and walked further into the clearing. Something felt a bit odd. Like they were being watched. Perhaps it was Juno. "You guys have any ideas?" Joseph looked around.

James and Maggie followed Joseph into the clearing.

"Perhaps there is a switch, or a moving platform, or a way to climb around. There must be something." James said.

(You guys should join my new roleplay in the American Revolution era. It's about stealing a ship for Joseph Wiles, and apparently sinking three pirate ships as a favor he owes someone. I don't care if you join with me or against me. I think it'd be cool if our past characters interacted too.)

(Hmm, guess I'll have to do an application for the spawn of Satan. XD)

Ember "Grim" Shay

"Well, I can get across. Maybe there's a switch on the other side? I dunno, should I go take a look?" Ember had already pulled on a special pair of gloves designed to increase her grip while climbing.

"Well I'm not a good climber." Maggie said. She looked over to Red and James. "Are either of you?"

They both shook their heads.

(Theoretically you could make a character who was a young pirate, and is now an old (in 50s or 60s ) pirate in the American Revolution. If that interests you. And we could cross paths like that. Or whatever you habe in mind. Just throwing out ideas Smile )

(Hmm, maybe I'll use Elizabeth)

Ember "Grim" Shay

"Right, I'll just get to it then" Ember said as she cracked her knuckles, and began making her way to the other side. She made it look easy, jumping around like a rather large hairless - aside from her fluffy emo hair - monkey missing its tail. She landed neatly on the other side, and began looking for a switch.

PostSubject: Re: Curses of The Precursors   Curses of The Precursors - Page 7 EmptyThu Mar 19, 2015 11:39 pm

Red, James, and Maggie were still looking around on the floored side. The area to search was large. Especially considering that with precursor technology, the switch could be anywhere.

Red was inspecting a portion of the wall, when a shadowy figure loomed over Maggie from a platform above. No one would be able to have seen it, as the platforms were perfect cover from above.

A few more figures appeared. In the shape of humans. One of them jumped off of the platform it was on, and flung it's arm into the air. The light reflected off of the silver blade which ejected from their hand, and they landed on Maggie.

Red blood came from her throat as the figure, a man by the looks of it, put his blade through her throat. Her arm reached upward, attempting to fight the man off, before losing strength and eventually falling to the ground.

James and Red witnessed her death as soon as they heard the man land on her. Red grabbed his two pistols from his vest, and James grabbed his from the back of his pants. Before they could fire, however, 11 more men dropped from the platforms. 2 women dropped down shortly after.

Their white hoods and stealthy style defined them clearly. Assassins. But how long they have been here, and why, remained a mystery. Red looked to his friends to see their take on the situation.

"You..." Michael said, hefting his wrench menacingly. "If you Bastards are so cowardly as to not even face an older woman up front, then come!" He said, holding the wrench like a sword, facing the ground. "Face your end." Now, he ran up to one, and swung a very intense swong at the one in front of him - right to the side of his face. He watched the body fly lowly to the side, and skid lightly on the floor, leaving a small trail of blood. By the looks, and, the hood coming off, it was a man. He saw blood on the man's wrist aswell - Good. He killed the right man. He turned to the others, blood slightly on his wrench where it impacted. "Well?" He said to the Assassins. "Let's have you join your bastard friend." He the hefted the wrench, waiting for them to approach.

Ten more dropped from the platforms above. The temple then became active. Beams of light shot year and there. Walls of light erected imbetween cracks. Any fight here would be difficult. The Assassins numbered around 20. While the Templars had around 3.

Red took his pistols and unloaded his clips into the Assassins, killing 4 and injuring 4. James did the same, and killed 2. He hid behind the cover of a fallen pillar. Red soon followed him behind the cover.

The Assassins pulled out guns of their own. Most had pistols, others had fully automatic pistols. Bullets ran rampant through the temple. The platforms floated over the barrier in the middle of the temple, and lined up as a bridge to the ring. The barrier was still up.

Ember "Grim" Shay

Ember sat at the top of a large pillar, and watched the gunfight as it went on. She couldn't jump in and fight the Assassins, else she would be deemed a traitor, and executed.
"Enough! All of you" Ember roared as she finally stood up. Another Assassin was standing at her side. The Assassin almost seemed to be guarding her.

The forces continued to fight. The odds seemed to favor the Assassins. James and Red were behind the pillar, when it began to light up under them.

"Red, move!" James yelled, as he pushed the boy out of the way. He was going to jump out of the way, until he caught a bullet in the leg, rendering him immobile.

Red turned around and watched in horror, as James looked at him with loving eyes. The yellow wall of light formed, and miliseconds later, that same man was a silhouette of gold, and then nothing. The wall of light stayed up for a few minutes, blocking bullets for Red. Which served in his favor, as he was immobilized in shock.

Michael's wrench was covered with the blood of 6, three of them he killed, and the other three he finished off, since Red wounded one. Michael was about to lower the wrench onto the last one's skull, when Ember yelled to stop. Michael quickly stopped, but saw the Assassin point a gun at him. He kicked the Assassin the stomach, causing him to drop the gun. "That goes to you aswell, bastard." He said, adding another swift kick. However, he saw the forces still fought, so he stomped on the man's head, crushing the skull. Seven killed by him, four by Red, two by... James. He turned his head to where he ladt saw him, where soonly, he saw it - A light captured him, and in a millisecond, gone. "God..." He said, stomping up towards another Assassin. "Fucking..." He swung the wrench towards the Assassin's legs, to where the Assassin fell and tripped. Michael heard a crack from the legs. "...Damnit!" He yelled, at every Assassin, really. "If none of ya Started fighting," He said, kicking the screaming Assassin. "...Most of your friends wouldn't be dead..." He kept kicking. "...AND THIS BOY'S PARENT FIGURES WOULDN'T'VE BEEN DEAD." He kept kicking the bloody and scrraming Assassin.

Ember "Grim" Shay

Ember and her fellow Assassin leapt down from the pillar, and approached Red. They were soon joined by two more Assassins. They were all wearing black robes, unlike those of the other Assassins.
"Jesus, Red! Get your head in the game! Do you want to die" Ember shouted before her and the three other Assassins turned to defend their brothers. "Leave him be" Ember growled as she yanked the Assassin away from Michael. The three other Assassins had been rescuing those that were severely injured.

PostSubject: Re: Curses of The Precursors   Curses of The Precursors - Page 7 EmptyFri Mar 20, 2015 12:26 am

Before the last several assassins were done fighting, the temple had gone into pure chaos. Shooting beams across the ceiling and the beams in the ground changed more periodically more frequent.

A spray of bullets came from the entrance of the temple. Matured male voices screamed, "BREACHING!!!" And scattered into the room. Ten men from Sigma Team came into the battle, with large automatic rifles. They were head to toe in new gear, purging the remaining assassins, which was difficult with the random barriers appearing and disappearing.

Sigma Team shot two more assassins, and four remained, not including the ones who are sided with Ember. Red spoke into his radio, on the universal Templar frequency, "Black robes are allies." He frantically said, before ducking for cover.

"We have orders to shoot all of the Assassins we encounter." The captain responded.

"The damn situation has changed! The Black robed Assassins are not hostile."

"If you say so." The captain acknowledged. His men and him continued spraying fire on the Assassins who continued fighting.

Then, the barrier in the middle of the room dropped. And the clear path to the ring was made now useable.

Michael, after the stomping and swinging, was, as many would say - bathed. His leg leg, and, mainly his right leg, was caked with blood, along with his wrench, especially the top. Some was on his face, yes, but that was a matter for later. "What's your part in this?" Shouted Michael at Ember. "You were the highest up, they came down from relatively your height - You wouls have seen them. You could have noticed them, told us, and now She is dead!" He shouted again, pointing at the Corpse of Maggie, all through the Chaos.

Ember "Grim" Shay

Ember and the three other Assassins made their way to the top of a pillar, and looked down at the last few Assassins as they went up against the Sigma Team. She didn't particularly know how to answer the Templars question in a way that would please him.
"i didn't see them. Do you think I wanted this bloodbath" Ember growled from the shadows.
