Samuel looked up at Damien and then back to the boy, who seemed to cringe back. "Little Jay lost his father," he said in a choking voice, something he quickly replaced with a deep breath to calm himself down. His hand that had been on the boy's shoulder now gripped it tight. "He's coming with us back to Sanctuary. Oh, and Damien, your initiation will be soon, so keep training."

"Ah, terrible loss indeed..." He said, shaking his head, wondering what drives people to kill fathers. "Well, I sure will continue the training." He said. Then, he grinned, and said, "Oh, and, get a hold o' this - I've been constructin' a defense system, very minor, really. But, hey, I made it. Ya hear any explosions when ya arrived? Likely'd've been me."

Sam nodded with a tiny smile, drawing Jaylin into him. "Good job, Damien. Keep it up and you'll make Assassin rank in no time." In the meantime, Sam gently guided the boy toward the sanctuary, eager to get the boy home and calmed.

Elizabeth "Demon" (Shay) Donnelly

"Well, Jaylin, as Samuel said, my name is Elizabeth" Elizabeth confirmed as she looked to her husband, and smiled. "I know how you feel, Jaylin, but I won't let any harm come to you. Promise." Elizabeth looked up to Samuel, smiled, and finally hugged him. "Same goes for our own children one day" Elizabeth whispered as she hugged her husband. Elizabeth looked down at Jaylin, and smiled. "Now let's get you off the streets" Elizabeth said with a smile.

Samuel nodded slowly and gently guided the boy away from the scene. "Come," he said softly to the boy, drawing him close to his side. "We'll take care of you."
"Wait!" Jaylin stopped and ran back to his house, emerging several moments later with something dangling around his neck and a stuffed animal in his hands.

Elizabeth "Demon" (Shay) Donnelly

Elizabeth couldn't help but smile when the boy returned with the belongings he held most dear to him. Altaïr had climbed out from beneath Elizabeth's robes, and perched himself on her shoulder. The iguana looked down at Jaylin, and raced back to his hiding spot. Elizabeth rested a hand on the boy's shoulder, looked down at him, and smiled.

"Captain Shay, I believe these are what you have been looking for" Johnson said as he handed Elizabeth two large scrolls.
"Aye, thank you, Johnson." Elizabeth was grinning like a cat that had stolen milk. Those scrolls were the the final pieces in her plan. They were the plans of the Donnelly house. "Sam, I need you to take a look at these later" Elizabeth said with a loving smile as she handed the scrolls to Samuel. All she needed was his approval before she could tell the men to start with the rebuild.

(Unfortunately, they all had Sam in. They were going to start a family, remember? (No, there were no pre-written sex scenes. Just Kidd/Read finding out Liz was pregnant, Liz telling Sam she was pregnant, and Elizabeth actually having the child))

(Well, shit. Eh... we can, uhm... fast forward in time, assume Sam and Liz jad sex, and just... go along? Unless, I dunno... Sam really is needed? We could, like... pretend he's on a extremely important mission in, like, Africa.

(Nah, dead thread is dead. Plus the whole thing between Liz and Sam would involve a lot of powerplay, and that's a big no-no in RP. So unless DarkAssassin comes back, May the Father of Understanding Guide Us will be a continuation of this thread.)

No. We ain't saying goodbye to Samuel. And isn't that thread of yours taking place before Samuel even met Liz?)

(No, it's taking place a few years after Sam and Liz met. Liz has joined the Templars in that thread and hunts down Assassins after she saw an Assassin kill Sam at Port Royal at her scheduled execution. But we could start another thread, and May the Father of Understanding Guide Us would be an alternate timeline?
