(Yea I had trouble too. O.o merry Christmas!!)

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

"And I am Frederic Donnelly," shouted Freddy, pulling free an unusual gun similar to Sam's pistol. "Betrayer and Assassin Deserter. Now that we've been properly introduced, you won't mind putting your weapons down. As we speak, my Sniper readies his weapon and only has to wait for my gunshot to fire." Sam began to struggle among the Templars.
"Run, Liz!" He shouted, fear coating his voice. Even his eyes were wide in terror. Even as Sam struggled, Freddy aimed the pistol at his brother, a twisted grin on his face.

"I have no qualms about killing blood of my blood," said Frederic. "If you truly are the Demon, then you won't care if he dies right now." The familiar click told of the pistol being cocked. "But if the Demon has a soft spot, then you'll let us go. And we'll take Samuel with us."

(She is so stubborn!!!! DX)

Elizabeth looked down at Samuel, "No. No more running." She held on to her weapons and glared at Fredrick, "I don't really care if he lives or dies, and if I had a soft spot, why would I let you leave with a brother?" Elizabeth walked up to Fredrick and sneered, "Luckily, I have business to tend to. Now that I have revealed myself to you, I must insist on meeting with your Grand Master, Laureano de Torres y Ayala, we need to discuss a debt. However, I will not be traveling with you lot. Sam, I trust you will be able to handle yourself?"

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

He stared down the barrel of the pistol and swallowed. He managed to nod at Elizabeth and to whisper a few words. "I hope you know what you're doing," he whispered as the Templars jerked him forward.
"And I'm sure Torres will be thrilled to see the daughter of the Betrayer," Frederic stated, uncocking the pistol and showing it away inside its holster, hidden by his cape. "Let's go, Templars. We shall see what will befall my brother."

(Eehh...scene jumping......)

It was nigh on nightfall by the time the group reached the manor. Sam was exhausted from the day's events and had no strength to fight back as they escorted him through the halls. "Tell Torres they bring the Donnelly child," called someone from up ahead. Fear buried in his chest so deep it turned his blood cold. He knew they would kill him. They did with his mentor and they had made him watch. Somewhere near the stairs leading up stood a young man, about two years older than Samuel himself. He wore the familiar black mask over his face and his hand was on his sword, his eyes watching the group approach with the Assassin. Waverly turned his head to stare up the steps.
"Torres," he called respectfully. "The group brings the Donnelly child."

Ben paced the grounds of the mansion, smoking his corncob pipe nervously, "What's taking so long? Where is she?"
"Is something wrong, Ben?"
"Aye. Elizabeth's off again. She went after Fredrick after the attack at the bureau."
"She's a fool, going after Fredrick and his men by herself."
"Hold your tongue" Ben snapped.
"I can't leave you two alone, can I" Elizabeth asked as she emerged from the shadows.
"You're a goddamned fool, you know that? Going after Templars like that. What are you doing here?"
"I'm here to speak with Torres" Elizabeth answered as she pushed past Ben and Cockram.

Torres was seated at his desk, blissfully unaware of the imminent danger. Elizabeth crept up to the Templar from behind, and flicked her wrist, her hidden blade inches from his neck.
"Ah, captain Kenway. How good of you to join me" Torres chuckled as he set his pen aside.
"Sorry to disappoint, Governor, but I'm not Kenway."
"If you are not Kenway, then who are you?" Elizabeth chuckled and retracted her hidden blade before she moved to stand before the Templar Grand Master, "To you, I am a ghost. To others, I am a demon."
"What do you want, demon" Torres inquired as he examined the Assassin standing before him.
"To kill you, of course. But that is for another day. Thirteen years ago, you stole something from me. I want you to suffer, knowing that you might die at any second. Remember, every debt must be payed, especially a blood debt." Elizabeth climbed onto the balcony, "Blood for blood, Torres. Blood for blood."

"Torres, the group brings the Donnelly child."
"Very well," Torres replied as he looked out from the balcony, "I need you to double the security, and fetch El Tiburón. We just had an intruder and I would like to welcome my guest properly when they return."

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

Waverly shifted where he stood and gazed out over the crowd. "Templars," he called loudly so they could all hear. "The Grand Master wants double security from here on. Everyone gets a double shift. If you patrol at dawn, you will patrol also at dusk. There shall be midnight patrol as well." The Templars milled about, going to tell all the others about the new security measures.

Samuel swallowed hard. The security measures must be for Elizabeth. So she had known what she was doing. Sam let out a slow breath as he waited. That's the one thing he hated; waiting. It put more fear in him than was already there.

"Captain Shay, it's good to see you made it back safely."
"I take it Ben and Cockram have yet to return."
"Aye. I can escort you to the tavern for some food later if you wish."
"Thank you, Burges. I just need an hour or so to myself."
"Alright, well your chest is inside."

Elizabeth locked the door behind her and sat on the great, leather chair, "This is going to be much more difficult than I thought."
"And it just got much worse after what you just did. Torres has increased security around the mansion. They'll be pulling double shifts, and there's a midnight shift too." Elizabeth jumped out of the chair, with a beaming smile, "That's perfect! It wasn't part of my plan, but it'll work."
"Really? How so?"
"I'm used to going without sleep for days at a time, the Templars aren't. Give it a day or two" Elizabeth chuckled as she drew her hood, hoping to get some sleep.

(You seriously just forgot about Torres and Samuel xD I'll fix it)

Frederic "Demonshard" Donnelly

The Assassin Betrayer went to Torres, knocking before he entered with a bow. "Sir," he called respectfully. "If I may. We have successfully captured the Assassin, Snakefang, son of the Assassin Carl Donnelly. What would you have us do with him?"

Elizabeth thrashed about violently in her sleep, knocking a bottle of rum to the floor. She screamed as she shot up in a cold sweat.
"It's alright, love. It's over now," Ben whispered as he held Elizabeth tightly, trying to add meaning to his words, "You had the dream again, didn't you?" Elizabeth nodded as she wiped the tears from her face, "Why didn't you wake me?"
"Because the last time I did that, you attacked me" Ben said as he pointed to the scar on his forehead.
"Sorry about that. They're getting worse, you know, the dreams. Not to mention that they're changing."
"Changing? What do you mean? And how are they getting worse?" Elizabeth stood up and looked out the window, "A few months ago, the perspective of my dreams changed. It is as if my dreams are not my own. I do not dream of being that scared little girl, but rather my mother or father. Now I am starting to feel them, the killing blows" she took a sip of her rum before she turned to face Ben, "And they hurt." Elizabeth slowly headed to the door.
"Where are you going?"
"I'm going down to the inn for a while, I just need some time to myself."

"Elizabeth Shay? It is good to see you again."
"It's good to see you too, Maddie. I need a room with a bath, and I would appreciate it if someone could run out and get me a dress."
"You can have this one" Maddie replied as she handed Elizabeth a large box, "It's specially designed to suit your needs. There's pockets galore and if you pull the ribbon on the side, the front lifts up nicely so you run and fight till your heart's content."
"Thanks, Maddie. How much do I owe you?"
"Nothing. Consider it my thanks for helping Edwin and I escape after the fall of Nassau. Just shout and I'll come up and help you into the dress."

"Grand Master Torress, lady Morgana O'Reilly, of the Irish rite, has come to visit."
"Ahh, lady O'Reilly," Torres began before he kissed Elizabeth's hand, "It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I have heard that you were sailing these waters, but I did not think I would meet you."
"Likewise, Grand Master Torres" Elizabeth replied with a curtsey.
"I see the stress has affected you." Elizabeth touched the white, powdered streak in her hair, "I'm afraid it has taken its toll on me. If you would excuse me, I need to speak with the Assassin, Samuel Donnelly, alone."
"Very well, one of my men will escort you to the Donnelly child. I shall see you at dinner, lady O'Reilly."

"Thank you. You may leave."
"Yes, lady O'Reilly" the Templar said with a bow before he left Elizabeth with Samuel.
"Not a word about this to the others. Rackham would never let me hear the end of it" Elizabeth chuckled before she assumed a more serious tone, "How are you, Sam?"

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

"I could be a whole lot better," he answered softly, looking around his prison. "Guarded twenty four seven, losing sleep...I die tomorrow, you know. Morning, like my mentor. Only I won't get the honor of being hung." His breathing sped up as tears began to form behind his eyes, though he fought to keep them away. "I get the honor of being shot. If that Sharkheart you claim is alive truly is alive, he hasn't done anything to stop this yet." Sam ran a hand through his hair, which was oily and told that he hadn't had a descent shower in a few days.

Fear shimmered brightly in his voice and eyes. "I haven't been able to eat you know. They bring me food but I just can't stomach it." He breathed out to calm himself down, clasping his mentor's necklace in a hand. "Anyway, what do you plan on doing? If you kill Torres tonight, they'll just replace him with someone else to execute me tomorrow morning."

[OOC: Biltong is similar to Jerky but it is prepared differently. It also has a different flavour and texture.]

"I warned you about the food," Elizabeth chuckled, "That's why I brought you this." She handed Samuel a bag of biltong, "I learnt how to make it when I stopped off at the Cape of Good Hope in South Africa on my way to Libertallia." Elizabeth took a seat and looked at Samuel, "I won't kill him tonight, I'm going to make him suffer first. Besides, if I killed him now, what would I have to look forward to? Not to mention I'd be caught and killed. Being killed is far better than being forced to have dinner with the man that slaughtered my family. C'est la vie." She could see the fear in his eyes, and she was filled with fear too. She wondered what would happen if Waverley wasn't there to do anything, worse still, what if he didn't care? "I saw Waverley, the sharkheart, on my way in. If he doesn't help you, I'll kill him with my bare hands."
"Lady O'Reilly. Grand Master Torres has asked me to inform you that dinner is about to be served."
"I'll be there in a minute." Elizabeth turned to face Donnelly, "I'll be there tomorrow, for your excecution. I promise. And I'll be there as an Assassin, as your sister." She stood up and headed for the door, she paused for a minute, "I can get them to hang you, if that is what you want. Die a pirate's death?"

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

He chuckled at the thought of a pirate's death. Techniqually he was one, but then he was reminded of his heritage. His father had been an Assassin and was shot down as one. His mentor was hung, as a pirate. "My father was shot," he breathed, feeling fear bubble again. "I would like to go the way my Mentor had. As a Pirate." Tears built behind his eyes again. "I appreciate you, Mistress. Thank you." It was then that he let his emotions slipped and the tears fell. He rarely showed his emotions to anyone and those that they showed to, for him it meant a great deal of trust.

"Very well." Elizabeth noticed the tears streaming down Samuel's face, she broke down and raced to his side. "Everything will be alright, I promise" she whispered as she hugged her fellow Assassin. "Ben, Burges, Cockram. We'll all be there tomorrow, you just won't see me. Just know that I'll be hiding in the leaves of the nearest tree."

"Lady O'Reilly, how good of you to finally join us."
"My apologies, Grand Master," Elizabeth said as she bowed to the Templar leader.
"You are forgiven" Torres answered as he pulled out a chair, "Please, take a seat."
"Thank you, Grand Master."

Elizabeth tried to avoid as much conversation as she possibly could, hoping that the Templars would not notice that she was not the real Morgana O'Reilly. "Master Torres, I have a request regarding the Assassin's execution tomorrow."
"And what would that be, lady O'Reilly?"
"Well, he is a pirate and so, he should be hanged like one. I love nothing more than a good hanging. Besides, as an Assassin, he deserves to suffer."
"Then he shall be hanged by the neck until dead."
"Perfect. Thank you, Master Torres." Elizabeth hardly touched the food on her plate, "Is something wrong, lady O'Reilly?"
"To be honest, I do not feel well" Elizabeth said as she stood to leave, "I apologise for my rudeness, but I must return to my lodgings."
"I hope you are of better health in the morning. I would hate for you to miss the execution."

"Get some sleep, and make sure the Benjamin is ready to sail as soon as possible. I'll be heading to the mansion" Elizabeth said as she grabbed her boarding axes and made for the door, "Just be there tomorrow, and make sure Burges and Cockram come too." Elizabeth raised her hood and headed out the door.

Elizabeth scaled the bougainvillea and landed in the grounds of the mansion. She crept up to the gallows, using the bushes and shadows for cover. "Just like in Nassau" Elizabeth thought to herself as she climbed the nearest tree.

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

During the night, he had managed to eat what Elizabeth had brought him. Now that the gray of morning was in the sky, Sam's head turned toward the door as it opened. "Let's go, Assassin," snarled the Templar. His heart was pounding hard in his chest. He gave a small nod and rose, approaching the door. The Templar grabbed Sam's arm slowly and led him out into the grounds of the mansion.

The way was lined by Templar guards, each one falling into place behind them as they walked. The gallows could be seen in the distance. Sam took a deep breath to calm his fear. He would face the gallows with pride as both a Pirate and an Assassin.

The large crowd of Templars parted and the guards found places along the bottom of the gallows as he we led up the steps and over to the noose. Waverly was standing on the gallows, near the noose. The Assassin's torn robes caught the Templar's attention. As he looked closer, a pink scar stuck out at him like a sore thumb.

Sam was shaking as the noose was fastened around his neck. He caught the action Waverly had made, touching a finger to his lips. A scar was there, Sam could see it. Then Elizabeth had been right and he had lived. Waverly made a sweeping action with his gaze to the crowd, like he was afraid. Sam had a feeling he knew why. Taking another deep breath, he turned his head and waited for Torres to appear to give him the accusations and sentence him to death, exactly how his Mentor had been killed.

Elizabeth sat in the tree, and watched as Samuel was led up to the gallows. She reached for her flintlock when the noose was fastened around her brother's neck, Ben looked in her direction and shook his head. "Well of course that's what you would think." She examined the face of Waverley, he seemed uneasy as he gazed over the crowds. "Oh good, you have a heart. Although I never really doubted that." Elizabeth picked a flower from the tree and let it fall to the ground. Ben nodded and placed a hand on his gun.

"Samuel Donnelly. You are to be hanged on this day by the following charges: theft, assaulting a citizen, stealing from king Phillip, and conspiracy to murder the Governor of Havana. Do you have any last words?"

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

Bravery rose up in his heart at the last possible second, his eyes narrowing slowly. "Only that the accusations are false," he said, taking a small pause as his head lifted. "I regret nothing. Nothing is true, Everything is permitted." Waverly fidgetted. It was just like him to do things at the last minute. His hand went to his dagger and it slowly slid from its sheath. Bryan had taken small steps toward Sam, dipping his head slowly as he turned midway to stare at Torres. He would address the Grandmaster when he ordered Samuel to be killed.

"The accusations are always false, we would never get rid of our enemies if it were any other way" Torres chuckled, "Let's get this over with."

"If you don't act now, you'll miss your chance." By that point they all had their hands on their weapons.

"What are you waiting for? Kill him!"

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

He had closed his eyes as the executioner laid his hands on the lever and tensed, ready to pull. Waverly never let him do it. "Stop!" He cried, throwing the dagger. It buried itself into the wood near the lever, causing the hands to fly off it in fear. The crowd gasped in horror. No one ever dared to stop an execution. Sam opened his eyes, breathing out in relief as his gaze went to Waverly, the man with the scar across his lip. The same thin scar that marked Sam's shoulder.

Waverly strode to where his dagger was and tugged it free, slamming it back into its sheath. He fixed the bow that was strung across his back and slicked his hair back, shaking. Then he made a gesture toward the Assassin. "You cannot kill this man!"

Elizabeth was relieved when Waverley stood and defended Samuel. Everyone in the crowd was shocked when Waverley spoke out.
"They'll be need a way to escape." Elizabeth slowly climbed further up the tree until her head was popping out the top.

"You insolent little worm! How dare you defy me. The Assassin must die! Perhaps I should have you killed as well for disobeying an order. Give me one good reason why he should not be killed. An Assassin of all people." Torres snapped as he glared at Waverley.

He wanted to scream out I saved his life! But no words came. Waverly was on his own. Bryan took a deep breath, refusing to even flinch as he was yelled at. Instead, Bryan went to Sam's scarred shoulder and exposed it more than it was. "His shoulder is scarred,"
"That don't prove nothing!" Shouted someone from the crowd.
"It proves everything!" Bryan shouted back, pointing to his lip. He stepped away from the Assassin. "That scar was created by an arrow. Like the scar on my face! He saved my life as a youth. I was targeted by an Assassin. They were going to kill me! All of a sudden, this boy, two years younger than I, stepped in the way. I walked away from that with this!"

He pointed again at his scarred lip. "This man was that boy!" He pointed to the Assassin, a hand resting on his bow. He was ready to draw it should it come down to it. "I say again: You cannot kill this man!" Bravery built and he go his bow ready to use.

"I asked for a good reason. We are Templars, we do not stand up for Assassins. Even if they did save the life of a Templar brother." Elizabeth jumped out of the tree and pushed past the Templars. She was heading straight for Torres.
"That's what you think, Torres. We stand by our own, and on occasion, we stand by one of yours. But you wouldn't understand that, would you? All you understand is blood and money. Remember my words, blood for blood." Elizabeth looked out at the crowd of Templars, more than a few had either drawn hoods or donned masks. "These are all men who have been saved by Assassins. As you can see, they are all eager to repay an Assassin." Elizabeth walked up to Waverley, "It's good to see you again, Waverley."

Waverly nodded in greeting, feeling much better with her here. He, too, had donned his mask. "You too, Elizabeth," Frederic rose from where he Sat at the back of the crowd and pointed a finger towards the gallows and any other Templar who had donned masks or hoods. "Betrayer!" He shouted, drawing his pistol. With a quick action, Frederic's pistol fired. Waverly saw its trajectory and grabbed Elizabeth, shoving her out of the way. "No!" He shouted, using his body as a shield. The bullet struck his right shoulder and buried deep inside. Bryan dropped onto his knees, gripping the wound with his free hand.

Samuel growled. "You'll die for that!" He shouted toward his brother, who merely gave a twisted grin.

"Thank you, Bryan" Elizabeth choked as she knelt down beside the Templar.
"You'll die for that!"
"No, Sam. Death is too good for him, it's too quick" Elizabeth said as she stood and grabbed a dagger from her boot, "Captain, protect Sharkheart and Snakefang. I'm going to teach that bastard a lesson." Elizabeth stormed off into the crowd, seeking the one who just tried to end her life.

"I have half the mind to kill you where you stand" Elizabeth shouted as she swiped her dagger across Fredrick's face, "But killing you would be far too easy." Blood trickled down Fredrick's face, "I hope that you will one day find it in your heart to understand the true value of family, by blood and by the order. I just hope it won't be too late, for your sake."

"Where is Torres?"
"He left."
"He left! Why didn't you stop him? He was mine to kill! I had the perfect chance to kill him and you just let him get away!"
"Calm down, love."
"No! I will not calm down! He deserves to die." Elizabeth's shouting was cut short when Ben turned and stabbed a sleep dart into her chest. "What did you do that for?"
"Sorry, but you're not in the right state of mind." Ben stabbed yet another sleep dart into Elizabeth.
"Why" Elizabeth mumbled as she fell to the floor.
"Let's get them to the ship. We need to leave as soon as possible." Elizabeth could barely make out what her friends were saying as she faded into unconsciousness.

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

Templars then rushed the Assassin sympathizers in a wave of attack. Kneeling on the gallows, blood beginning to pool was Waverly. Slowly, he stood to his feet and, with a shaking hand, grabbed his dagger from its sheath. Waverly exhaled slowly, the wound hurting. Frederic had already swept away, cape billowing around him as he ran. That didn't surprise Sam one bit. There had been occasions where his brother would run away from missions, completely deserting them. And then he killed an Assassin.(and Torres needs to yank that lever Smile) Sam was pulled back into the present when fighting broke out on the gallows. Bryan was constantly fighting with his dagger, despite the bleeding wound he had received, though he was beginning to feel lightheaded and weak. He fought on.

Brave, thought Sam with a grin as he watched from his place.

"You will all be reprimanded for this betrayal. Those that fight for the Assassins shall join them in death!" Elizabeth slowly opened her eyes at the sound of a familiar voice, even with her hazy vision, he could easily identify the figure approaching the gallows.
"Ben" she whispered as she touched his boot, "Stop him." Hornigold looked at Elizabeth and nodded.
"I hope you don't mind, but I brought a friend" Torres chuckled as El Tiburón joined him at the gallows, "Now let's get this over with, shall we?" Torres reached for the lever, "No" Elizabeth whispered. It was too late, Torres had pulled the lever. Elizabeth looked to Ben for help, but he and Cockram were busy fighting off the Templar brute, El Tiburón. "Somebody help him" Elizabeth whispered as she watched Samuel as he hung at the gallows, fighting for his life, "Please," she whispered as the tears flowed from her eyes, "Help my brother." She tried to fight the effects of the darts for as long as possible, but it was a battle she could not win.[/color]

Samuel "Snakefang" Donnelly

He gave a yell as the platform beneath him dropped open and he was left suspended in the air. Hands reached for the noose that he hung from, trying hard to get air into his lungs. Bryan had heard the all too familiar clunk as the platform was dropped and immediately turned in time to see Samuel disappear beneath the gallows. "Help Snakefang!" He shouted, slicing the throat of the Templar he had been fighting with. Samuel was still fighting, though the actions were steadily getting weaker. Black dots began to swim before his eyes and made his vision double. His mouth formed a word, but his voice wouldn't work. Something shifted and Sam could have sworn he saw a familiar figure standing in front of him. He knew who it was. It was his Mentor. Samuel closed his eyes slowly, still fighting for air that would probably never come.
